Denial

I didn't love her. I couldn't.

She was everything I wasn't, everything I didn't want to be. Cruel, sadistic, cynical. She didn't care who she hurt, she loved causing pain. She relished in the Dark Arts and loved anything to do with Voldemort.

She was pureblood. I was muggleborn.

She was dark. I was light.

And, yet, I find myself tangled with her on her silk satin sheets almost every night, slick with sweat from our love making and yearning for more. For more kisses. For more skin. For more touching. For more everything.

It wasn't love, though. It was lust, I tell myself, as I arch and moan. It's just lust, I think during her harsh, demanding kisses and words.

And then her kisses turn soft, and her words turn sweet.

And I don't know what to tell myself.

It's not love.

It's lust.
