A/N: There are a couple reasons I rewrote All But Forgotten. These range from everyone being out of character to making Jay's jokes sound more clever and in turn making him seem less stupid. The story will also be different, less rushed, and Lloyd's golden powers are going to be more debuffed and changed. All But Forgotten is my first fanfic and I'm not going to let it rot. I know people like the old version in some ways, so I am leaving the original at a discontinued state. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but enjoy Green and Gold!
A male teen with the most brilliant blonde hair sat on a rounded boulder in front of a fogged pond with white lily pads floating on the surface. His green gaze was distant and he was fiddling with his thumbs.
An ancient ghost watched from a distance, covered in thick white fog. This mortal was naive, but born with a heart of gold, he thought. He approached the teen with slow, light steps. He broke through the fog and murmured to the teen. "A darkness may be coming and growing, but remember: Light is stronger than darkness."
The teen gasped and quickly turned to look at the old ghost. "W-what do you know?" he stammered.
The ancient ghost face creased into a soft, gentle smile. "I've seen and known many things," he sighed. "You are ninjago's biggest hope. Many, including me, trust you with their lives."
The teen shook his head. "I failed to fight off my father," he grunted. "My powers only came back when I stopped fighting."
The ghost's face became thoughtful. "Why did your powers return?" he asked.
The teen shrugged. "I resorted to peace and finally understood that not everything needs to be resolved by fighting." The teen's green eyes had a thoughtful glow to them.
The ghost nodded. "That and something else." The ghost smiled and whisked the fog away, making the dull, and pretty pond brighter.
The teen took note of the old ghost's look. The ghost was wrinkled with age. His brown eyes stood out against his pale face that resembled the teen's father. The ghost's chin had a long, braided, white beard that matched his braided white hair. He wore a black ancient gi that was lined with ancient gold letters and he wore and his head was topped with a rice hat not unlike his uncle's. He held a bamboo staff as his chosen weapon.
"Lloyd," the ghost sighed. "Your powers are growing again after being weakened by the exchange. You may find yourself at full strength, soon. Maybe even stronger." The ghost's eyes seemed bright, yet concerned. "You are the center of the balance."
Lloyd gazed at the ghost. "H-how do you know my name?"
The ghost smiled. "I know more than you think."
The ghost and Lloyd were left staring at each other before Lloyd woke up in his bed at the monastery.
