A/N: Some prompts from my English book, of all places. Please enjoy. I may post more soon if we have to write more sentences. I am quite proud of these!
Write two sentences for each word. In one sentence, use the last form. In the other, use the past participle form.
Catch
Laurens caught the baby turtle.
He had caught many books thrown at his head, so he had good reflexes.
Forget
Alexander forgot to finish his essay.
He had also forgotten to finish the one before this, so he has a C in English.
Write a sentence using each verb or phrasal verb correctly. Then write whether the verb is transitive or intransitive.
Carry
Laurens carried the turtle to the lake. (I)
Count on
He counted on Alex to help him build a turtle house. (T)
Crawl
The turtle crawled away from Burr since he was yelling. (I)
Pick up
Burr attempted to pick up the turtle, so it bit him. (T)
Remove
Lafayette and Hercules removed the lettuce the turtle dropped on their shoes. (T)
Write a sentence that uses each verb in the passive voice.
Will have sent
The letter will have been sent by Alexander.
Had offered
Assistance in spelling had been offered to him by Laurens.
Has solved
The problem of how to spell "beautiful" has been solved by John.
Had constructed
"Palaces out of paragraphs" had been constructed by Alex.
