Kindness, it was not something many people had shown her, but she did...
Sara walked into the locker room and saw Catherine going through her locker.
Catherine smiled at her and then turned away, Sara walked to her locker and started to get her stuff out.
"You weren't there this morning when I woke up."
Sara turned to stare at Catherine,"I never am, that's the deal."
Catherine nodded,"I know, but after last night..."
Sara knew what she meant, they had said "I love you" to each other last night.
"I left... because I thought... that... it wasn't real."
Catherine closed her locker and walked over to her,"Why?"
Sara looked at the floor, "After all the things in my life that have gone wrong..."
"You thought I would too."
Sara nodded, and tears started to form in her eyes.
Catherine pulled Sara into her arms, "I'm not going anywhere."
Sara backed away, "You promise?"
Smiling, Catherine nodded, "I promise."
Sara smiled back, finally someone in her life had showed her kindness.
