Come and play. Sherlock saw James Moriarty's words in his head. He couldn't shake the image of John walking up to him with Sherlock's phone in his trembling hand, simply stating, "He's back." The short ride in the police car to the trial was tense. At first it was quiet, neither of the men making the slightest sound. Eventually, John broke the silence.
"Remember-"
"Yes."
Sherlock saw it coming. He was aware that he made far too many clever remarks for the authorities' liking, and he should try to be more polite for the trial.
"Remember-"
"Yes."
Sherlock cut the doctor off again. 'Keep it brief,' he was going to say.
"Remember,"
Sherlock was planning on letting John finish, as he had nothing left to predict. But before he knew it, a hand was on his right cheek, turning his head to face the man on his left. John leaned forward and placed his lips on Sherlock's. After a few seconds, John let go and saw the surprised look on Sherlock's face.
"KISS." John said.
"Yes, yes it was." Sherlock said. And quite a good one at that…
"No," John man-giggled. "K-I-S-S. Keep it simple, Sherlock."
For the rest of the day Sherlock kept it simple, just for John.
Let me know what you think! I love writing, but frankly, I'm not very good at it. I'd love some reviews, and be as harsh as you want with your CC!
