Walking down the empty halls of Hogwarts, Lucius was thinking over his brief conversation with Dumbledore. He'd completely dismissed Lucius' ideas about the death eaters and protecting the school. Unfortunately, he was so deep in thought he ran straight into someone.

" Excuse me, " He said, coolly polite. Then took a second look. " I'm sorry, have we met before? "

The young woman in front of him had the the same, nearly white hair as the Malfoy's. She smiled dreamily up at him.

" I don't think so. " She said in a slightly melodious voice. She still to have that dazed smile on her face. " I'm Luna Lovegood. "

" Lucius Malfoy. " He said, not being able to help that he was staring at her. Only out of curiously, he thought to himself.

" So, you're Draco's father. " She nodded, it wasn't a question. Merely a statement.

" Yes, well, I must be going. " He glanced at her one last time before hurrying toward the entrance hall.

Slightly discomforted by his earlier conversation, he sat going over it. But it was strange to him that he wasn't going over his talk with Dumbledore. The person his thoughts kept straying to was the strange, blonde haired girl he had, literally, run into today. She looked so much like the pictures of the Malfoy's that hung in the halls of his home. Except that she seemed softer somehow. Maybe the dreamy look in her eyes or the sweet smile she had. Why was he still thinking about her!
