The Other Man
It pained Milly to have to listen to her family rather than herself. She's always been aware that her marriage to a noble slash earl would be inevitable, or so she thought.
As Kallen's best friend, she was extremely loyal and gave her the best support she could, but as Kallen's best friend, she could not help keeping her eye on her brother.
Naoto, Kallen's older brother, a member of the US Air Force, the test pilot and the love of Milly's life. Her thoughts of him were frequent, even when she was still engaged to the earl, Lloyd. She was excited to see him, but at the same time, nervous, the man she loved would face the horrors of her marriage to some lanky looking 30 year old.
(Flashback)
She emerged from her best friend's room, and as soon as she stepped out, faced herself with him. Tall, handsome, and incredibly charming, as he smiled at her, carrying a duffel bag.
Kallen stood beside her brother and introduced them, "Mills, this is my older brother, Naoto, or Nate. He just came back from the States studying in the Air Force" she smiled at her, and turned to him, "Oni-san, this is my best friend, Milly Ashford. She`s the president of our student council. She`s staying at our house for a sleep over"
He nodded his head and smiled at her, "Hi" while she responded with a wave, a "Hi" and a blush back at him.
Ever since that day they met, every year, he arrived in Japan, to visit his sister, and more importantly, his sister`s best friend.

And so she thought, thought long and hard, "Lloyd isn`t the one I want to be with" for her heart has already been set, to the one she met a few years back, to the one who joined the US Air Force to start new with his life, to the one she`s had an eye on since the day they met.
