Summerland Calls

Bridget had been walking for hours in the rain. His long blonde hair fell into his eyes, escaping his nun-like head dress. He sighed. Somehow he lost the main highway and seemed to be on a little used dirt road leading to a country side market. Maybe there will be a little warm restaurant to warm him up.
And so there was. But the tiny restaurant was cool, and he shivered violently. He rubbed his wet hands up and down his cold arms, trying to warm up, not taking notice of the happening around him. That was until a heavy coat found it self wrapped around his shoulders, and a somewhat deep voice saying "Get the lady something warm."
"T-t-t-tea p-pl-please." Bridget stuttered.
"Tea it is!" A cheerful voice announced, and he tightens the coat around his thin shoulders. The tea did help him warm up slightly. He noticed that the officer had left the booth.
He stood up, and wobbled slightly. The officer was at his side in an instant, wrapping his arm around his waist to help him up. "Oh." Bridget said. "Th-th-thank y-you." The officers nodded and removed his arm.
"Thank you for your kindness, sir. But I really must go; I need to find the main road." Bridget said, bowing slightly, and nearly losing his balance.
"I will go with you. I know my way back to the main road." He smiled. "I am Ky Kisuke."
The two left out the way Bridget came, and not even half a mile away from the restaurant Bridget collapsed. Ky picked him up, and was amazed he was so light. But he carried him to the first hotel he came to, and called the doctor.
As he waited for the doctor, he felt Bridget's forehead, and was amazed the find he was so hot. He bit his tongue, before remembering when in the Crusades and Koji had been sick, the nurse had put a wet cloth on his forehead to help cool him down. So he went and wet a towel, and placed it gently on Bridget's burning forehead.
Then a knock at the door knocked him out of his thoughts. "Come in." the doctor walked in and asked Ky to leave. And so he did.
Bridget suddenly opened his eyes. "Ky!" he cried out. Tears leaked through his lashes, and Ky dashed into the room and sat on the bed next to Bridget. He leaned his head against the other man's chest. "It hurts!"
At first Ky couldn't figure out what Bridget was talking about, but soon figured it was the light from how he was shielding his face from the light by digging into the blue shirt he wore.
Ky glared at the doctor, who shrugged and dimmed the lights considerably. In his position against Ky's chest Bridget fell asleep again, tears lingering to his long lashes.
