A/N: O-oh…hello. I'm switching fandoms rather suddenly, eh?
Sorry 'bout that. You were probably hoping for Angelshipping or Jewelshipping. Nah. School's finally out so I thought I should post something short that'll help with the transition to Hetalia fics.
Ah! Wait! So in most Hetalia fics, they use their human names. Me? No. Nope. It brings up too many HetaOni feels and I've recently re-watched it and yeah. Plus I prefer dubbed, so he's Britain to me. Sorry. I guess.

"Excuse me, Japan?"
No. That wasn't right. How did it begin? Was it simply a question, or did he state something? He didn't raise his voice. No tremble or break…or possibly he didn't start?
"Hello Mr. Britain."
Yes. That's how it started.
"Good morning, Japan." He looked around the streets of London. "Is there a reason you're here? Possibly to visit?"
He nodded, also looking around. "I haven't been here in ages. I thought it would be nice to look around." He looked at Britain before bowing, flustered. "I'm very sorry to show up without warning."
"I-It's okay, really. You can stay at my place too. I wasn't doing anything- it would be nice to have some company." He rubbed the back of his head, flushing a light color. "Shall I show you around?"
"Aren't the cherry blossoms blooming over at your place?"
"Ah…" Japan looked back up at him. "No, not yet." He paused. "Is it going to rain soon?"
Britain looked up at the sky, sighing. There were heavy clouds hanging over them. "It's always about to rain here."
Japan smiled gently. "I think that means something about you. You're a rainy island nation. Isolated and miserable."
"I.." he stopped. Something was different about the Asian nation. Was he really speaking about his thoughts? "The same could be said about you."
He thought a moment then shrugged. "Have you tried to be happy?"
"Are you saying I'm not happy?"
"You aren't." he stated, turning to look at the clock tower dooming over them.
He sighed. The first drops of rain started to come down. But he was right. He hadn't been happy since America was still his; his little brother. Nearly two hundred years of misery since that punk pulled his stunt. "Fine. I'm not happy."
Japan simply nodded. "Can we get out of this rain?"
"Are you not happy?" he asked, ignoring his request. A silence shuffled in between them as the rain began to pour. The unspoken knowledge was finally spoken. Britain turned to the other island. "We can be happy. Together." He held out his hand.
Japan looked at him then at his outreached hand. Hundreds of years the two islands sat, basking in their own grief, on opposite sides of the world. Drenched, Japan ignored his hand and threw himself into his arms, surprising both of them, "Yes, let's go see the world."

A/N: It was inspired by this beautiful picture that my computer ate.
That is all.
