Hi guys this is my first fairytail fanfiction, Gruvia is my all time favourite couple, hope you enjoy the story :)
She loved trains. They brought a sense of peace within her; a semblance of peace is exactly what she needs amidst the chaos that has engulfed her life. Juvia Lockser was a very quiet person, who liked to go through her life like a river that is joining into the sea. Not drawing as much attention as the waves rather took upon the soothing presence of a brook. This train ride is one of those trips that she takes while coming back to the city from her parent's home every month.
But this time though, the ride is making her feel anxious by every passing minute. She kept twisting her dior watch every once in a while, dreading the moment the train reaches her stop. Finally the train stopped at her city. She wore her scarf and flung the strap of her shoulder bag over her left shoulder and left the train with a pang in her heart. She took a cab back to her apartment building.
When she opened her apartment door, she saw lily sleeping in the couch; Gajeel-kun must have gone on a date with Levy-san. She smiled to herself Gajeel-kun was this big scary cop, yet he loves his cute cuddly lily more than anything. She felt happy for Gajeel and Levy-san they have this steady relationship going since two weeks. She scratched lilly furry ears and smiled when the cat purred. She dropped her bag on the couch and noticed that the apartment was quiet; 'Gray-sama must be sleeping then' thinking that; she walked into their bedroom. She went inside the room and locked it in. Just as she was about to change into her pyjamas , "Well you could at least greet me you know" . Juvia squeaked and turned quickly towards the Gray who was lying on her bed. "I didn't notice that you were awake Gray-sama" she stuttered. Gray walked up to her and hugged her. Juvia was startled she didn't know what to do. Despite noticing her lack of response Gray tightened his hold around her.
"Juvia thought you would be mad at her for leaving abruptly like that" Juvia whispered. Gray pulled back from her sighing, gently cupped her cheeks and chuckled softly, "I am just glad that you are back". Juvia was confused at his behaviour she averted her eyes down relieved yet wondering how on earth was he so calm after knowing the way she ran away from him the last time they saw each other. He stepped away from away from her asking her, "Let's get to bed Juvia, I really missed you this week, we will talk about everything tomorrow" He then tilted her chin up adding "that is if you want to talk about it". She nodded ignoring the way tears welled up in her eyes hearing him say that, she didn't notice her voice quivering when she replied, "I missed you too" and quickly turned away from him wiping her eyes. She changed slowly and crawled into the bed next to him. Gray put an arm around her and tugged her closer to his chest, while tucking his chin above her head. Juvia couldn't control it any longer she quietly sobbed into his chest, Gray just held her shaking form close to him and rubbed a soothing circles on her back and lulled her to sleep. He just hoped everything will turn out better the next day.
"After all, tomorrowis another day."
