Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter.
A/N: So, for me, this story is about Lucy and Lysander and Lily. Lucy's the girl and Lysander is the boy mentioned in the story. Really, though, you could put any next-gen characters in their places.
There's a clearing in the middle of the forest, by a lake. The trees are a lush green, the floor a mix of green grass and lilies. The sun is shining, giving the clear, blue lake a stunning glistening affect, as though its comprised not of water, but of diamonds. The birds are chirping merrily, while the wind lets out a gentle woosh, cooling the area down. Under the shade of one of the trees, two people stand, holding hands.
"How could you?" The girl asks, forcing her voice to stay calm.
"What are you talking about?" The boy asks, desperately.
"You knew how much I like you! You knew we were together! Why, then, would you cheat on me with my best friend?" She can't stop herself from full out screaming those last few words.
The boy looks down at his feet. He doesn't know what to do, but he knows he's ashamed.
"Well?" the girl asks, impatiently tapping her foot.
"I-I wasn't thinking. I don't know why I did it. But, I know one thing: I'm really really sorry, and I'll never do it again." The regret seeps through his voice, as he apologizes.
"No, you won't. You want to know why? Because you won't have the chance. We're done," she screams, the tears cascading down her face.
"What?" the boy asks, shocked.
"You heard me. This is it, the end. Bye," she says, turning her back on him and leaving the clearing.
The boy stands there, not sure what to do, but soon, he too turns his back on the clearing and leaves.
The birds still chirp on, though. The lake continues to glisten and the sun continues to shine. The nature still knows beauty, despite the ugly that is ever present in the world.
A/N: I feel as though this warrants an explanation. I'm taking a creative writing class, and one of the assignments was to create a beautiful scene and place something ulgy in it. This is what I wrote. The forest is beautiful, but the fight is ugly. Afterwards, I realized how good this would be for a next-gen story, so now you've read it. Everyone says to read & review. You've done the first, so could you do me a favor and do the second part, too?
