CHAPTER 1: THE SPIDER IN THE LAB
The Spider was lonely. It was trapped in a cage, on its where almost nobody ever looked at it. It was given only bland, unlikable food to eat and left alone with almost nothing to do. It longed for someone to talk it, or at least feed it something that didn't taste like brown cardboard. Unfortunately, it could tell the humans that had long since handled it, knew none of these things. And so, it was trapped in this old cage to live out its extremely miserable existence. Until the boy with the glasses came along. He watched so openly and so interestedly and it watched him in return. It could sense they were the same. Opposites and outcasts from the world. The boy seemed to sense it too. That had to be why he let it out and let it bite him on the hand that fateful day.
