It had been one year since that day. Set a year after JE. Imagine the specials haven't happened as this was written before they were shown.

One year.

It had been one year since that day.

That day when Donna Noble's life in the TARDIS ended.

When she ceased existence in his daily life.

The daily life which now didn't exist with her anymore.

One year today since he had last seen her.

And it was a special day.
