I was so excited as I turned on my computer. I'd heard about The World for
such a long time by now, but had never actually gotten to play it. I'd
gotten it for Christmas, but decided to wait until New Years to play it.
Little did I know that it would take so long! The installation took
forever, but man! That update was harsh! 12 hours! I was so happy that I
finally got to play it, but it was January 2nd, and I was a bit
disappointed. I started the program...The World logo popped up, and my eyes
shined as I clicked on 'Creating a Character'.
I thought...for a long time. My character had to be perfect. There would be no editing after this. I spent about an hour creating my character, character class, and character marks. I called my brother into the room and he gave me some tips on looks. He had the game, but it was on his own computer in his college dorm room(he was in town for a while). The last thing I did to my character was name it. I gave him the name 'Tyreal'.
I finally clicked on 'Create the Character'. I was almost literally bobbing up and down in my seat as the assurance screen came up. Finally, my character was done! I chose to enter the game world...but a message from the system administrators came up. I sighed in frustration, I just wanted to start the game, but I figured it was important. I opened the mail, and my eyes widened as I read it. They wanted me to be a beta tester for a new version they wanted to try! They said it would be automatically put into my character, so no additional waits for updating would be necessary. I chose to accept. The new version would include the option to combine 2 character classes, 1 dominant over the other, but with specific and special traits. I chose to be a Twin Blade, with a Blade master as a submissive class.
Finally, I put on my virtual reality helmet, and entered the game world. As soon as I entered, I couldn't believe it was virtual! Every pixel was so small that I couldn't even see them when I zoomed! I chose to try out the third person view...and gasped when I saw my character.
He was an angel, complete with wings, white hair, and a white robe.
Ack...well, this is my first fanfic ever, please criticize all you want! Tell me if it gets too off-topic, or sloppy...anything! Please, I need it ^_^
