Saw an angst picture, wanted to write an angst fic.
Rated T for character death.
Don't own the turtles, Peter Laird does.
Pain.
That was all he felt. Pure, mind numbing pain. He did not remember how he got this way. Everything was a blur. One minute he was fighting the foot, and the next thing he knew, he was dying in his brother's arms.
Dying. It was such a strange concept. Existing one minute and the next gone. He was not scared of scared of dying, he was scared of what came after. Would he enter the afterlife? Would he be reborn? Or would he simply not exist, forever trapped in a black limbo?
Leonardo came back to reality. His brother was calling someone on the T-phone, probably Donnie. For a minute, he could not recall the name of the red-clad turtle, but then he remembered. Raphael.
"Pick up your phone Don!" Raphael screamed into his T-phone. But it was obvious that Donatello wasn't going to answer.
Crying. Raph was crying. Leo never thought he really cared that much. He struggled to speak. "R..Raph..." It was so quiet that the blue turtle couldn't even hear himself.
Raphael turned to his dying brother. "Fearless, you gotta stay with me! Don't go to sleep!" He was in hysterics.
Leonardo could feel the pain begin to numb. Black spots invaded his vision. "I'm...sorry..." He closed his eyes. He wasn't dead yet, he could still feel the raindrops pound onto his skin.
He felt himself being lifted onto his brother's back. He heard a mumble of words that he couldn't comprehend.
Was he running? It felt like it. Why was his brother running? He was just taking a short nap. He was so tired...
He saw a bright light. Was it morning already? It felt like he had been sleeping for a few seconds. He opened his eyes. Where was he? He saw a little house in the distance. It didn't look like an ordinary house. In fact, it looked like one of those houses in Japan. He always wanted to go there. He saw someone sitting on the porch of the little house. He was a giant rat. Master Splinter. Leo never thought that he would see him again!
Master Splinter looked up at Leonardo. The rat simply smiled and beckoned his son over. Leo smiled back and headed toward his sensai.
He had a feeling that he would like it here.
Yep. That's it. Did I do a good job? I never wrote about someone dying before, so I hope I did!
If you liked it, review!
