This is a little poem from Ichigo's perspective in regards to Rukia when he says they are 'friends'

My Friend
You helped me build myself back up
You knocked me into shape
You gave me the power to move forward
My friend
We fought with each other
We fought for each other
We fight with each other
If you were gone
My Friend
It would hurt
The world would spin
But mines would stop
People would continue on
But I would not
My Friend
When they ask me what we are
I say simply you are my 'Friend'
Some nod their heads
Some rejoice in that fact
Some are outraged by this fact
But
They don't understand
When I say you are my friend
It does not just mean 'Friend'
It never meant just 'Friend'
It meant more than that
In my mind Friend meant soulmate
Friend was partnership
Friend, meant love
So when I say Friend to describe you
Understand it has more meaning than you think
Than anyone thinks,
It means we are Friends
Soulmates
Partners
Lovers
