Where there was a psychopath strangling my Father, there's comforting and familiar faces.

Where there was a blood curling scream inscribing itself into my brain, there's laughter from friends. I'm laughing.

Where there was pain, and constant self loathing, there's happiness and a love for life I never thought I would have.

My eyes slowly open. I didn't have nightmares. That was the first time in years I'd ever gone to sleep without fear of reliving that same dream. I don't even remember how I fell asleep.

I slowly grow more awake, and I notice I'm in the back of an empty car. How did I get in here? Was I on the way home from Itonoko's celebration?

As I look around, I'm in shock to see my attorney asleep on my shoulder.

"N-Naruhodou!?"

I'm tempted to wake him up, but after all the trouble he had to go through this week, it just seems like a sin to interupt his deserved rest. But I can't let him sleep on my shoulder, this is embarrassing!

"Mitsurugi... kun..."

I look back at him. He hasn't called me that in years. Is he thinking back to when we were kids?

"Mitsurugi-kun," he moans, "thank you for standing up for me... You were amazing..."

It's hard to hold back my laughter. I should be saying that to him.

All right, Naruhodou, your time on my shoulder is up.

I gently move him off of me and onto the seat. He suddenly grabs my hand, fixing a tight grip on it, still asleep.

"Mitsurugi-kun," he says with a tremble in his voice, "where're you going...? Please don't leave..."

My face turns red. I look out the windows to see if anyone's watching. We're alone. I pull him close to me and fall over onto the other seat.

"Don't worry," I say as I lightly pet his head. "I won't."

Why am I saying this cheesy crap? It's making my face burn.

"Mitsurugi-kun..."

He moves closer to me, resting his head against my chest.

I'm surprised he's the first one to make me blush this hard... I wonder what he'll say when he wakes up? I pull him closer to me. Oh well, I'll just tell him this happened while we were asleep.

A/N: I love this couple so much. ;-; So anyway, I can already tell that this has probably been done to death, even though I don't really read Fanfiction anymore, just write it, but I couldn't help myself. MitsuNaru is so cute!
