Tale as old as time,
Rin happily skipped circles around her lord Sesshomaru, pausing only to pick flowers, which she then gave to him. True, she was older now, but this was a habit she refused to drop. Besides, Lord Sesshomaru almost smiled whenever she gave him one of her hand picked flowers; almost.
True as it can be,
She picked a beautiful blood red flower, and immediately turned around to give it to her lord. He had the same look as always, his apparent stone cold look, but Rin could not be fooled. She saw past that, she saw through his beautiful golden eyes, a smile within.
Barely even friends,
"For you, my lord" she said bowing her head down slightly as she handed the flower up to him.
Then somebody bends,
His expression changed, a small smile slipped through. A smile from lord Sesshomaru to most meant they were about to die, but for Rin it was different. She could always see it within, but now he was showing her for real.
Unexpectedly,
Rin froze for a moment. Sesshomaru, maybe for the first time in his long life, knelt down and allowed the frozen girl to place the flower in his long silver hair. Rin hesitated for a moment, then tucked the flower behind one of his pointed ears. "Lord Sesshomaru…"
Just a little change,
"The red matches my kimono" he said as he stood from his kneeling position next to Rin.
Small to say the least,
Rin smiled bigger than she had ever smiled before. Though she was bursting with happiness, she refrained from skipping, and walked neatly at her Lord's side.
Both a little scared,
She shined her big smile up at her Lord, who hesitantly looked down at her with his small, but genuine smile.
Neither one prepared
Without realizing, Rin's small, delicate hand gravitated towards her Lords. Her hand only managed to close the gap halfway before it was overtaken by a larger, clawed hand. Perhaps it was instinct? Perhaps it was excitement? Perhaps it was something else…
