It was obvious, maybe not very clear but obvious. Many asked, questioned, wondered, thought, even straight out believed that they were together. Not every two people the saw together had looked as if everything, the whole world, was in each other's eyes.

What they didn't know was, although one realised her feelings for the boy, the boy was unsure, scared probably to take it to the other level, scared to ruin their friendship.

So the girl kept or tried to keep her feelings hidden. However much she talked and cried about how much she should let him go, no matter how much her friends coaxed her to tell him she just stayed the girl in the girl who would love him secretly. The one who she'll always turn to in the end even if he was the one who hurt her in the place.

She knew if she told him everything would change. She wasn't sure how he would react to her it was either Run away, don't look back just forget everything they had everything they shared or; you know what she was positive that he would do that.

Hints, clues, rumours and teasing is what made her think maybe he liked her in ways more than friends but then later on he would make her think otherwise. So that was their relationship safe, protected everything they didn't want or even need.

Everything changed when he indirectly found out, he reacted as expected he told her he wanted to stop talking to her, so

She confronted him, found out why and ended their bond with her saying tearfully that she was sorry for whatever she did, that their friendship was everything to her and finally revealing that she had fallen for him. And she had fallen hard.

So that was the story of the girl with the black hair and the boy with brown eyes. So in the end the real question is, was their love really unrequited if they both were left with regrets?
