Hey, everyone! This is my first fanfic, and I decided to make it about Pippa, and how she became corrupted, or whatever you want to call it...
Anyway, I'm really posting this so that I can get some feedback. I need to know what my writing needs! So review, please. I'm not afraid of criticism, either!
Eyes.
In those few moments, I felt more than I have ever felt before.
My entire life had held no sense of purpose. I would always end up becoming a prize. A prize to be admired, to be boasted. Nothing more. And my parents would rather die before it became anything less.
After the sky came alive, and something possessed me to row the boat out to the water, my friends left. They left me, and I was alone with my most feared nightmare, in the world of my greatest dreams.
Gemma returned, eventually. She came to retrieve me. To save me, I suppose. But she failed to see that I could not be saved. Either die in body here, or die in soul later. I decided my fate. "I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul," after all.
And so I took the berries, and I ate them. And, in a great irony, I felt alive for the first time. I could live, breathe, and exist as one with the Realms. I had a greater power than sacrificing a dear could ever have given me. For once, I had something that Felicity coveted.
Each day melted into the next. Living in paradise, with all the mystery surrounding me was captivating. My friends soon joined me, and they were as joyous as I was to be reunited. I watched and listened as they told me of the complex story they had woven themselves into.
I watched their eyes. Their eyes told me stories of what they were feeling, where they would go.
In Ann's, I saw a tortured soul. A soul trying to break free of her cruel prison. I saw a song who was strong at the root, but whose confidence was splintering. Pain, bitterness, anger, and, strangely, I saw a blind sense of hope. That hope gave me something to ponder over the quiet nights.
Felicity's eyes shone with greed. A hunger for power, so intense that it was breathtaking. Her eyes told me that she would not back down. She had been denied before, but she would not be denied again.
Scared yet determined, Gemma's eyes told stories that amused me the most. Did she know how close she was, how deceiving the little girls were being? Did she know that she was revealing everything to the one person she should severe ties with immediately? I saw as she started to doubt everything, even herself.
I saw her start to doubt me.
Now, the shadows have built up inside of me to a point where I cannot ignore them any longer. I am at their will, heading their every call. I realized long before she told me, that Gemma would do nothing to bring me back. In their eyes, I am another creature amongst the realms. Pretty to look at, but nothing to be troubled with. They can help me- us- no longer.
I'm walking steadily toward a place where the shadows have been, but I have not. The shadows have been everywhere. The shadows are everywhere.
And so I see no point in hiding.
What did you think? Whatever popped into your head, tell me! I really want to know how to write some of the amazing things I see up here. Thanks!
