Ahaha. I had no plotbunnies for this, but as soon as I thought about the cat!verse, I got one. And then I switched it back to regular!verse. XD;;;;

Adair knocked on Storm's door, a new jar of his hair dye in his hands.
"Come in."
There hadn't been a pause before Storm's response, which was a good sign.
Storm was, unsurprisingly, at his desk, a pile of paperwork next to him; the pile was smaller than Adair expected, yet Storm didn't seem to be on the verge of falling off his chair either. Another good sign.
When Adair entered, Storm glanced up at him and then smiled, putting his quill down. "Good morning."
"Afternoon," Adair gently corrected, giving him a short bow after he'd closed the door. "I have your hair dye."
"It's already afternoon…?" Storm murmured, rubbing the top of his head with a palm. "Ah, thank you," he said as he stood up. "I was nearing the end of my last batch."
"Do you need any help applying it?" Adair asked, making sure to hand the jar to Storm away from the paperwork, in case their fingers slipped.
Storm blinked at him, his expression surprised. "You aren't busy?"
"No," Adair said, shaking his head. Captain Sun was sleeping in as he didn't have to conduct worship service that morning, and the Sun Knight Platoon had already done their nine laps around Leaf Bud City. They had a few more hours before Captain Sun called on them, and Adair had finished his paperwork the day before.
"Well, I suppose I was due a break…" Storm said, casting a glance at the pile of paperwork, rubbing the bridge of his nose.
Adair smiled as Storm gave him back the jar and once Storm was seated, Adair started to apply the dye, making sure to catch the areas that Storm hadn't been able to by himself.
I…apparently like having people play with each other's hair… Go figure.
