Harry still couldn't believe he was a wizard, yet here he was in diagon ally with Hagrid purchasing his school supplys for Hogwarts.
So many thoughts were going through his mind he could hardly make sense of them himself, he was famous, he could do magic and most importantly he was away from the Dursley's.
Hagrid had left Harry to buy his own robes while he had a quick drink at the leaky cauldron, Harry had been stood in madam malkins for a few minutes and could hear she was attending to another boy. "Wont be a minute" she called causing Harry to jump and loose track of his thoughts.
Not long after she came around to the front of the shop and motioned Harry to follow her round the back. The boy she was attending to had sleek blond hair and was admiring his emerald green robes in the mirror. "school robes?" she inquired Harry nodded and the tape measures automatically rose from the floor and started to him up.
"first year?" came the bored and drawling voice of the blond boy. Harry replied to the question with a quick nod of the head. "Me too" he replied "got all your stuff?" Harry was quite surprised that the boy was actually speaking to him, in the muggle world they take one look of Dudleys over sized jumpers drowning Harry and snigger, this made Harry feel accepted and immediately liked the boy. "Nearly" smiled Harry.
"Draco Malfoy" he said holding out his hand and Harry immediately shook, "Harry Potter." This was greeted by Draco staring long and hard at him, his eyes moved towards the scar then back to his face again. "Yes i heard you would be starting Hogwarts this year" he half said half smiled. Harry was grateful that Draco did not make a big fuss over his name like the rest of the wizard world as he was still adjusting to the celebrity thing.
"My parents were in Slytherine house and im hoping for the same myself" "what about you, what house are you hoping for?" draco asked. Harry had no clue what these houses were and sudenly felt stupidly naive. "Slytherine too" Harry answered back wishing he knew what he was talking about. Draco raised an eyebrow and Harry and studyed his face. Then he laughed and said "well i suppose il see you at the feast"
