HINATA'S POV
Hinata blushed, peeking from a tree as she watched Team 7 practice. She gasped as Naruto ran at Kakashi-sensei.
Oh, please let him be safe....
Kakashi easily deflected the attack, still reading his little orange book. Hinata giggled at Naruto's expense.
"Hey... Looking at Naruto again?" A voice behind her asked. Hinata gasped and looked back, "Ino! I-i was-s-n't! R-really!" She stuttered, embarrassed. Ino raised an eyebrow, "Oh, really?"
Yes, really. I was looking at Kakashi. A small voice in Hinata's voice piped up. Hinata blushed two tones darker when she heard the voice.
"Hinata, ha! You're soooo naughty.... Naughty, naughty, naughty." Ino giggled. "And bad taste too. Seriously, Naruto? Sheesh, Hinata!"
Hinata was actually surprised at the anger she felt. The anger she felt because Ino actually dared to suggest it was Naruto she held in her heart. She paused, anger subsiding. That was corny... Seriously, it was. While she was thinking this, Ino went on and on about all the bad points Naruto had, sometimes comparing him to Sasuke or to Shikamaru. Everytime she compared him to one of those boys, she'd get a dazed look and giggle suddenly, but continue with her ranting.
"Ino... Shut up." Inside, Hinata's eyes widened. Did she seriously just say that?! Oh no... If Neji-nii-san found out she had talked back, especially to one of the Yamanakas, he was going to get so pissed at her.
"O-oh, I'm so s-sorry, I-ino-chan! I d-didn't mean that!" Hinata apologized, looking down in shame. Ino laughed and patted Hinata's head. "No worries, Hinata-chan! That's my motto!" Hinata briefly wondered why that sounded so familiar.
"Man, you guys suck." Kakashi said nonchalantly. As if it was normal for Team 7 to suck. But then again, Kakashi is way better than the three. He was hot too. Hinata blushed, did she seriously think that? Man, having a crush on Kakashi-sensei is bad. Hinata gasped, realizing what she had just thought. Oh no... She does not have a crush on the Kakashi!
Well, maybe she did, but that wasn't the point!
"And Shikamaru is way smarter than Naruto, that's for sure!" Ino concluded, seeming so sure of herself. Well, of course she'd be sure of herself. Naruto's smartness was always up for question.
"C-can you please be q-quiet, n-now?" Hinata asked, finally having enough of it. Ino shrugged, "I don't have anything else to do." She said nonchalantly, glancing as Team 7 took a break, Kakashi leaning against a tree. He was still reading that little orange book of his, a devious smirk on his face as he flipped the page. Hinata blushed, jumping down the tree quietly. Ino followed her, looking slightly annoyed at being interrupted.
Today will be the day I finally tell Kakashi what I feel.
At that thought, Kakashi glanced at the two of them, raising an eyebrow. He saw Hinata and winked, smiling through his mask. Hinata blushed bright red and fainted.
I guess not.
