How I think Hakuryuu felt in Chapter 252. I left some things out to suit the atmosphere. Hope you like!

P.S.: I do not own Magi.

"…you need to stop your war with Kouen."

Hakuryuu stared blankly at his old friend. What was he saying? Was he actually suggesting that they let Kouen continue his tyranny? Was he really giving up?

Was he that much of a coward?

"We have an enemy that we need to unite against. An enemy that is even worse than Al Tharmen-"

"I already know that."

Alibaba gaped in shock at his old friend. Hakuryuu didn't understand why. Was he that desperate to keep things under control? Under his control?

"Y-you already know?! Th-then why-"

"I can't accept it." Hakuryuu did not bother hiding the edge in his voice. "To let someone like Kouen-to let someone who allows such abnormalities to continue to exist for the sack of one world-there is no who should be more hated in this world right now than Kouen!" he spat the name out with such disgust; he could not bear to say that traitor's name for more than a few seconds.

Alibaba just stared at Hakuryuu, his face growing paler and horrified with each passing second. As he continued to stare, Hakuryuu grew more and more irritated with each passing second.

Finally, he could not stand the stare down any longer and spoke. "What is with that face you are making?" he demanded.

Alibaba started, but quickly recomposed himself. "W-we can't just ignore Il-Illah. I'm sure even Kouen will stop his war campaign for a while."

"And what will you do, Alibaba?" Hakuryuu asked. "Will you just stand there and let Balbadd stay under Kouen's control?" He looked at Alibaba with disgust. "You really are a coward."

Hakuryuu looked at Alibaba with a sense of satisfaction at Alibaba's face. It was truly elating, to see his old friend realize just how pathetic he was, how weak he is.

"What about your sister?"

Hakuryuu paused and stared at incredulously at Alibaba. Did he just-

"You once told me she was the most important thing to you. If you go against Kouen…if you go against his allies, you'll also have to fight against your sister!"

Hakuryuu felt a swell of hatred within his heart. How dare he-

"And what about your friends, the people you've fought with in the past? Aladdin…and Morgiana…"

Hakuryuu's face twitched. He didn't just use Hakuei as leverage-he also brought up Morgiana! He had gone too far!

"I-I don't want you to go through what I did, Hakuryuu! Fighting against the people you care about…that's-"

"I see." Hakuryuu could care less about interrupting Alibaba-he didn't want to hear anymore of his nonsense. "I see now what type of person you are, Alibaba."

"W-what are you talking about, Hakuryuu?!"

And he dared deny it.

"You are…the type of person who approaches others, saying you wish for their happiness (-he approaches Alibaba slowly-)…then you rip out what he loves most out of his heart (-he is but a hairbreadth away from Alibaba-)…you take it, and do anything to realize…"

(-he punches Alibaba in the chest-)

"…what you think to be the right world. Your hycropisy makes me SICK!"

Alibaba stood slack, a mixture of shock and horror frozen on his face. Hakuryuu smirked.

It was time to teach Alibaba a lesson.

"Your light is too bright…it swallows up everyone and tricks them into wanting what you want. Morgiana…and even Aladdin…they were deceived by you," he seethed.

Hakuryuu removed his robe, revealing his new metal vessel.

"In the world that I desire, you are the person I wish to eliminate most. Therefore…"

(-he turns to Alibaba, finally unleashing his wrath-)

"…YOU WILL DIE HERE, ALIBABA!"

(Finally, he will get what he deserves.)
