I hate the fact that James and Lily died so I have changed the story to suit my fangirl needs.
I'm Back – James Potter P.O.V
I remember waking up in a cold, dark basement when one of the Death Eaters entered and started torturing me. It was the worst experience I have ever had. I honestly wished that Voldemort had killed me so I wouldn't have had to go through that. Over a stretch of time they came less and less until they just stopped coming and one day someone walked in and it was the one person in the whole world that I wanted to see. Severus Snape.
I blacked out again as soon as I was in his arms but I knew from that moment on, no more pain would harm me because I am safe now. Very safe.
When I woke up I was in the Hogwarts Infirmary because there is nowhere else for me to go because everyone thinks that I'm dead. I felt a warm hand in mine and I looked down the bed to see Severus asleep in the chair at the side of the bed.
No one except Lily Evans, Remus Lupin and Sirius Black know that we used to be a couple, I bet you're thinking 'But James Potter would never fall in love with Severus Snape! They hated each other!' But I did fall for him, I fell hard.
We only broke up because he became a spy within Voldemort's ranks and it would put us both in lots of danger, we also agreed that if we both lived to see the end of the war then we would resume our relationship but then I married Lily.
I only married Lily because I found out that I was pregnant and I didn't know what to do or how to hide it, my first instinct was to tell Lily because she would know what to do. She came up with the idea of pretending to be together. I could see the heartbreak in Sev's eyes when I told him my plans to marry Lily but I saw a glimmer of hope when I said that all was not how it seemed and obviously it's not because I don't love her like that, she's my sister. Nothing more, nothing less.
That all happened a long time ago and naturally, I never fell out of love with severus so hopefully we still have a chance at being together. I hope so because it would kill me if he said no. I do need to tell him about Harry's true parentage though. Harry has green eyes just like Sev's mum, I remember meeting Eileen before me and Severus broke up because we were getting pretty serious and Harry was conceived around Halloween, the same year that Sophie was born (Remus and Sirius's daughter)
When Madame Pomfrey found me awake and staring at Severus she rushed over and forced me to drink several vile potions. I'm not a naive teenager anymore so I don't mind drinking potions because they will make me better if that's possible.
"He hasn't left your side since he found you, Mr. Potter." She informed me. He looks so pale, even more so than he did when I last saw him which was 14 years ago.
When Severus finally woke up I was sat there eating, something I haven't done in a while. The Death Eaters rarely gave me food so yeah, I was always able to access water though or I would be dead now.
"Hello." I said, meekly whilst looking at Severus.
"Hi." He whispered. I offered him the pumpkin juice that I was drinking and he took it gratefully.
"So, what have I missed then?" I asked whilst leaning closer to him.
"An awful lot..." He began but didn't continue because our lips met in the middle.
