I do NOT own Twilight. Also, I set this story up during New Moon during the part when Jacob and Bella were standing in the kitchen and the phone rang. So I hope you all like it!
Bella's' POV:
Jake looked at the ringing phone. He reached for it, but i stopped him. "If they're important enough, they'll call back," I told him. He gave me a confused look, "Bella...?" I leaned in once again and held his shoulder, he went in for the kill and kissed me. I felt a warm tingly feeling. His lips were soft and moist. We kissed for what seemed like eternity, but it turned out to be a couple seconds. I smiled as he pulled back. "Jake, that was wonderful." He nodded, "I know."
I smiled up at him and he gave me that cocky grin of his that I now absolutely adored. I could've stared up at him forever. My heart raced, and his warm hand touched my cheek just made it beat faster. I held it and he kissed my forehead.
"BELLA!" We both looked and Alice was standing in the entrance of the kitchen. My cheeks flushed, "Hi, Alice."
"What are you doing!" She demanded, I looked at Jake and whispered, "Can I talk to you later?" He nodded and kissed my forehead and left. As soon as Jake went out the door, Alice crossed her arms over her chest, "Well?"
"I kissed him...," I said bluntly. She frowned slightly, "Bella, that was EDWARD calling! You could've answered, you know!" I felt like dropping to the floor. The color in my cheeks went away, and my feet went cold.
"Edward..." I remembered everything by saying his name. The bad memories teared at my short-lived repaired heart. Alice hugged me, "Bella, I know it hurts. I'm sorry." I just sighed, "Alice, I know he's your brother but I can't deal with him right now. At least not when me and Jake are getting started." She let go of me and just nodded, "I understand, but you're gonna have to face him sooner or later." I felt like dying when she said that, "I know." She kissed my cheek, "If you need me, I'll be at my old house," she told me. I only nodded and she left, leaving me alone with my bewildered thoughts.
