Azula noted her brother's progress in hunting the avatar, which of course had been zero.

Couldn't that dumb dumb manage anything? No matter, it's better this way. His own temper would be sabotage enough… but where's the fun in that?

No, she might as well catch the avatar herself. As for precious little Zuzu, well, she didn't have to do anything to have him fail. After all he is a natural born failure.

Now, how to go about this? Ah, yes, Mai and Ty Lee.

Azula had already reunited her fr- associates.

She left her bedchambers to go to the front gates of the palace.

"Mai, Ty Lee."

"Yes Azula?" The chipper girl responded.

"As you know there is some business that needs my attention." The girls waited for Azula to continue.

"The issue at hand may take a bit of time, for travel alone of course. The actual matter should take only a bit of time; after all, this is my Zuzu we're discussing."

The slight smirk that had previously graced her lips disappeared as she shifted into an uninterested façade. "You two are free to do whatever you may please."

"I'm afraid I don't understand Azula."

"Well Mai, I believe you've just been dismissed."

"Why bring us together if you weren't going to bring us along?"

"It sounds an awful lot like you're implying my actions were senseless. Of course you wouldn't be so silly as to imply something so preposterous. Would you Mai?"

"Of course not Princess Azula."

"Very well then, I simply must be going then."

"Bye Azula!" the upbeat acrobat exclaimed as the firebending prodigy left through the front gates of the massive palace.

What an obnoxiously joyous girl.
