Time to continue and re-start the 100 fanfic challenge with a wonderful new list! I didn't have much for this first word. But who cares! I've got big plans for the next few or so.
Introduction:
He stood there, unseen, in the shadows.
Carefuly he pulled back the velvet curtain and looked at the announcer before sweeping his eyes over the crowd.
Thousands of fans had joined together to watch one of the most popular events in the World, Mario Party 9.
The audience consisted of a equal mix of toads, goombas', and koopas'. A mixture of all the kingdoms... how quaint.
He was more tense than usual, often glancing behind him, but he had a lot riding on this introduction.
He knew just as anyone else, first impressions are importaint. As they often determine whether or not one becomes popular. The first few minutes are key; as generally they tend to stick with people for awhile.
It was time; his blue eyes snapped back to the announcer, thick lenses reflecting the light. A toad... he better not mess this up.
"And now, I am pleased to introduce our next contestant. The one and only..." A pause, the toad shifted his notes, confused.
Come on! He thought from behind the curtian, Read the card!
The toad shrugged and continued. "The one and only Generic Magikoopa!"
Boom! A flash of light erupted as Kamek teleported to the stage.
The audience clapped politely for this so-called-nobody. He smirked to himself as a sizable group fangirls sighed in dissapointment. They had traveled all this way just to get a glimps of their fandom. To have this, this, fake appear was a hard blow.
Despite their misery Kamek was happy. As he wouldn't be getting glomped, kissed, squeezed or attacked today; nor any day soon for that matter. Not as long as Kamek could keep Nintendo refering to him as Generic Magikoopa.
As Kamek took his place among the other contestants he heard a few females screaming in a foreign language. His eyes widened behind his glasses as he reconized it as Japanese.
He mentally kicked himself for not remembering to consider translation before switching the announcer's cards... I knew I should've gone with Doopilis!
