Okay people, this is my first fan fiction so cut me some slack will ya.

In this story, Shikamaru is fighting lee and they are both aware of each other's abilities

Shikamaru was thinking, no one else had made have to plan this far into battle.

Earlier that morning…

Rock lee had been on a stroll down the block. He had woken up grumpy this morning and thought a walk might help. It didn't help that people generally can't tell if someone's grumpy and everyone was talking to him. He was annoyed, to the point where he had yelled at them to all just shut their Yapper never yelled if not in battle, he even was surprised himself.

Shikamaru was lying on the sidewalk, slowly watching the clouds, this was his favorite thing to do after being almost ripped in half by Temari and Ino who were arguing over who got to have his old clothes.

Jeez he thought they must have a serious obsession with me.

Lee had just started to run as he tripped over him.

"Hey!" Shikamaru yelled, and lee stopped.

"WHAT YOU JERK, CAN'T YOU SEE PEOPLE WALKING!" he yelled back.

For a second, both Shikamaru and lee were surprised, but then realized each other's existence. Rock lee, apparently very angry, immediately got into his Taijutsu stance. Shikamaru knew where this was going,

"hey I don't want to-"BAM!,

Shikamaru was knocked off his feet and onto the ground. Lee was about to smile in satisfaction, but he couldn't move his face.

He tried to break free, and was able to move his hands slightly. Man, if he can control me this much in his pained state, I wouldn't stand a chance against his full technique, even I I opened the eight gates he thought.

Shikamaru got up, but saw that lee was slightly moving his arms, so he tightened his grip. Unfortunately for lee, he was on the sidewalk leading to a dead-end with a wall. So shikamaru starts running, nothing in his way, and lee could not do anything but obey his body. A few seconds later, lee made contact with the wall, causing the dirt around him to swirl in clouds and leaving the wall in pieces. Shikamaru smiled, but when the dust settled, lee was not there…

Sooo… I'm sure that I will get comments like "no lee's shadow is too quick" or "there's no escaping the shadow possession technique". I mean really, if your not going to enjoy my writing, THEN DON'T READ IT AT ALL. Plus don't comment like that or I will do the very much same to you
