GHOST STORIES
PROLOGUE
As the stars glittered in the sky, a young boy wandered under the cover of night. His faithful butler missing from his side and signature eye-patch shed, his red eyes glittered in the dark as he sighed. He was alone on this street, save for the rats digging in garbage and the cats hissing as they were chased by barking stray dogs. There was no one around at this time, they were all asleep.
Tonight he felt free, with no Sebastian at his side, he was free to roam as he pleased with no one lingering over his shoulder giving him suggestions to keep him safe, he was strong enough to take care of himself now.
He had left Sebastian to do as he pleased after he'd spent a decade by his side, the reason being that he felt that he'd did not need his butler's assistants anymore, and thus sent him off, and of course the demon butler was pleased that he'd regained his freedom once more and did not hesitate to leave, though Ciel knew that they may cross paths again, though whether they'd be on good terms was a completely different story.
And as memories resurfaced as he as stalked through the empty streets, of solved murders and company rivals. He wondered how much he forgotten and as he looked around, his lips pressing into a thin line, perhaps he should revisit those memories he'd forgotten, giving them one last farewell before finally leaving this place and all of its tragedies behind.
And as he wandered once more through the darkness of the night only one thought came to the young demon's mind,
'Now where should I begin?'
