I walked slowly into the elementry school I had attended 4 years ago. Somehow, it seemed different. It didn't invite me the way it used to. I felt a prickle down my spind. I don't know what caused this but I walked in anyways. I stared at the ceiling that had been too familiar. I somehow found it funny that no one was around. Afterall, it was Monday and 10 in the morning. Kids should have been walking around or in the classrooms. Yet even as I walked by and peered into the classrooms, there was no one. Just the teachers I knew and admired. They seemed to be teaching, yet I see no students. That is, until I looked at the floor. Bones. Skeletons. Every skeleton was sitting up as a student would be, only without flesh or organs. They were even responding to questions like normal students. I rubbed my eyes to make sure I'm not delusional. Unbelievable as it is, I was not delusioning. I felt my face go pale as I darted for the closest stairway. I bolted down, wanting to leave but there they were. Skeletons. Undead skeletons on the stairs, telling me to calm down. One jumped on me as I kicked and screamed. I don't know why but I sat on the rails and glided down the stairs quickly the way I used to. "Why..." I tried to say aloud yet no sound came out. I felt the wind rushing against my face from the speed I was at. At the bottom, I ran for a door to find it locked. Damn it! I had no other choice. I bolted for the cafeteria doors, out and into the lobby before running towards the main entrance. It was also locked. WHY? I looked out the window. Outside was dark and quiet. The only light were the streetlights. How is this possible? I was only here for 10 minutes... I looked at my timer. I was right. I was only here for 10 minutes. Yet my watch said it was 10 at night. I ran up the stairs again and was glad I saw no skeletons. I opened a window that led to the roof of a short part of the school. Normally, the school had 5 floors yet this section had 2 floors only. I took off my sweater and tied it against a pole, hanging on to it as I jumped off the roof and slid down the pole. I only did this because if I hadn't, I would have burned my hands from friction. I was panting now and looked back at the building. There they were again. Skeletons were on the roof. I started to get on top of a desk which I don't know why was there, and climbed over the black fence, careful tryng not to hurt myself. I grew scared of the school I had enjoyed spending time at. I don't know why but I just did. "...up. Wake up!" a voice said as everything faded to darkness.

I flashed open my eyes and sat straight up. I was sweating badly and looked to see my mom by my side. "Honey, are you okay? You look pale..." Her voice trailed off as I felt myself fall back asleep, this time with a smile on my face. I was glad it was just a dream.
