Hello... I decided to try a random story... Hope it's good! :3

PROLOGUE

The man in the white trench walked briskly to the run down small building that had stood on the same corner in Paris, France since anyone could remember. The date was September 6, 3004 and this small orphanage was the only building that hadn't been updated to perfection (or what this day's people considered perfect).

He huffed quietly and rapped his knuckles impatiently against the weather stained door, "Coming! Just a moment!" A woman's voice rang from inside along with a few squealing children.

The woman that answered the door was plump with her blonde hair pinned hastily back in a bun with hairs sticking out everywhere, "Hello, sir! Sorry for the delay, I was-"

The man cut her off, "I do not have time for idle chat. Please, may I just come in and look at the children you have?"

She stepped aside, looking bewildered as the scientist shouldered his way inside. His cold brown eyes studied every child in the playroom, and those hidden away in their bedrooms or eating. Then he saw a smaller boy (maybe 8) sitting along in the corner of the play room, gripping a raggedy teddy bear and staring at the man coldly.

The child had a mop of black hair and dark, almost black rues that chilled the scientist to his very core. This is the boy... He thought, turning to the mother of the orphanage, "I will purchase that one." He bluntly said, nodding to the mysterious little boy.

"What?!" The woman gasped, "Purchase the child?! No! I do not trust you to have any of these kids!"

He turned his cold gaze to her, "I am willing to pay you 50,000 dollars, Madame. I can go higher if you would like."

He pulled a wad of U.S. money from his coat pocket (the U.S. currency by now had become the only one used). The woman bit her lip and her eyes went wide at the offer. This would be the most money her orphanage would have ever had and would be enough to fix the building and make it look a million times better, "Sir, I..." She glanced sadly at the boy sitting in the corner and he shrugged slightly, standing.

The woman snatched the money out of the strange man's fingers and ran to her room, sobbing quietly.

Silently the boy shuffled over to the man and he, looking pleased, led the boy outside and towards the Eiffle Tower, "You, boy, will become an amazing discovery in science, or maybe a tragic failure... I doubt the second will happen though." He chuckled quietly.

OK... This isn't much to go by to see if it's any good a story but please give it a chance! As I said, I'm just going to try it out. Please comment, follow, and alert and maybe check out my other stories too! Thank you! :D
