Looking around in panic her blond hair blew all around her face, for once free of the small bun shapes. Suddenly from behind, where she could not see stalked a light-hared man in black leather. From his over sized pockets he drew a black pistol. Still she does not move unsure where to go, her blue eyes searching for safety. Slowly he creeps up behind her, bringing the gun up to point at her skull. Suddenly she turns, frightened, like a caged mouse just let out in the world. The man fires his gun, a moment to late, for a black shape seized the girl the very moment she turned, barely leaving the bullet behind. The view scrolls up to the top of a tall building bordering the alley she had just occupied. There the girl stands, the bright moon behind her perfect figure. Her blond hair flows freely to the ground, around her body is a shimmering white cloth, flowing in an invisible wind it reaches her ankles. The black figure stands a few feet in front of her. A black cloak trails behind him in the same wind. In his hands is a simple, black cane and top hat, falling on to his knees he humbles himself before the girl. "Serenity." Looking at him a single word circles through her mind, at first slowly and then faster until it is a tornado in her thoughts, fighting to get out. "Endimu." gazeing at his hunched over figure she steps forward, placing a hand on his shoulder, willing him to stand. Trembling at the touch he stays, unsure what to say or do. he did not bring the crystal. What can he possibly say to make that right? A Tear falls from her eyes, a sadness she knew all to well. " I loved you, didn't I. and you, you loved me. but. her body was to much, her beauty and seduction too much. so with your lust you brought the fall to us, and our kingdoms." Shaking her head she slowly lets the tears fall. Unsure what to say he trembles, with the force of memories, meant to stay forgotten, seep into his skull and heart. He sees the moon, from his beautiful earth, he feels the pain and loneliness of his love being so fare. Hears the doubts in others words of her faithfulness. sees a shape, beautiful and sedative.with hair so much like his princess. He goes to her, and finds to late it is a dark hared beauty. a court woman, under the name of Baril. seeing the rest hurts, feeling her tears, a thousand years old, on his back tars his insides apart. Yet still, the memories come. As first the Earth then the Moon fall, to the lust of court woman awoken in one, unforgettable and terrible night. But the worst memory is yet to come, Serenity hearing the truth. seeing the lust for a grown woman's entire body in his eyes when Baril came to the Moon. he still loved her, his princess, but she would never give herself to him now. would destroy her own love for him. Trembling, now in pain and self-hatred he let his own tears fall. "I . I'm so sorry. my love. please forgive me." but even as he kneeled at her feet crying he knew she could not forgive him, ever. " You made your choice, or mistake, long ago. There is no going back now. If it helps I forgive you for wanting more, for missing what I would not, could not give you." Kneeling she takes his hands, and forces him to stand, looking at her. For the first time she sees tears fall from his eyes, and she knows he means what he says. If only, forgiveness and pain could erase the past. but she could never love him the same again. Even looking at him now she did not want him the same she had before. Looking down at her older, wiser eyes he knew he would protect her forever, even if he could not love her. Taking her hands from his she turns, letting a wisp of fabric trail behind. Reaching the end of the low roof she stares at the moon until her form, slowly and beautifully disappears from sight, slowly fading into the moonlight.
