I am the hogwarts sorting hat
And as the students return each year
I look into a bunch of heads and see
Lots of dreams and fears.
To sort you into quarters it is my difficult job
For where I sort you you will stay
Until you move away
Be it brave Gryffindor or sly Slytherin,
Smart ravenclaw or loyal Hufflepuff
Each has a talent they are stronger in
And each one has their flaws
Secrets were always kept even in the past
Soon some will come to light
Even if they were overlooked the last
I give you a warning to be cautious
Of the thing that sleeps below ground
But I must sort you so do not delay
Come up here put me on and
I will tell you were you will stay
