It all started with a dream. Splinter woke up to his worst nightmare. Shredder found the lair and killed his sons. Just like he did with his lost master. He went to check on his sons just to calm his shaken nerves. He opened the door to his eldest son, Leonardo's room and saw him sleeping peacefully on his bed. He watched protectively over his son for several minutes before quietly leaving the room. He went to check on his second eldest son, Raphael's room. He saw him sleeping wildly on his hammock, but he was peaceful. Splinter saw his blanket on the floor and placed it back on his sleeping child. He walked out of the room quietly. He then checked on his third eldest son Donatello's room. He quietly opened the door but was shocked to see it empty. The whole lair was quiet, he did not hear the usual sons of glass and papers and keys being typed. Before he panicked completely, he checked on his youngest son, Michelangelo's room. The room was,of course dirty and the floor was covered in games boys and comic books. Splinter lightly chuckle as he watched his wild son sleep. He saw his face slightly distraught and looked to see Mikey's teddy bear on the floor. Splinter picked it up and tucked it back in Mikey's arms. Mikey cuddled into his bear and soon slept peacefully. Splinter smiles, placed a small kiss on his forehead, and then went to go look for his missing son. Splinter checked the lair, the pool, the garage, still no Donnie to be found. He left a note on the table saying he went looking for Donatello and searched the sewers. His mind began to jump to the worse case scenario. He finally found his son sitting on the ladder looking up at the sky. He had a notepad and a pencil and something else he could not see. Splinter was over-joy to see that his son was fine but now curious to see what he was up to at this time of night.

"My son." Splinter said as he made his way to the ladder.

Donnie looked around confused. He looked down to see his father looking up at him.

"Oh, Hi Master." Donnie said as he came down the ladder.

"What are you doing here so late my son?" Splinter asked.

"It's a full moon tonight and I wanted to watch." Donnie explained.

"I see. Try not to stay out too late. I will meet you at home." Splinter said.

"Of course." Donnie said as he went back to his notepad.

Splinter went back to the lair and went to bed. He did not actually go to bed until he heard Donatello come home for his ladder. When he shut his eyes, he slept peacefully. After all, his children were safe, that is all that matter's.

THE END!
