˜Without you˜
Hermione walked towards the lake, the moonlight oddly comforting. She had woken up tangled with Ron on his bed up in the boys dormitories. She smiled to herself, it was nice to sleep without the worries they had been subjected to on the hunt for horcruxes. Now everything could be perfect. Harry will have Ginny and somewhere along the road they'll get married and have children. Same goes for her and Ron she supposed.
Her face twisted, that just didn't sound right. She loved Ron, yes, but was she really just going to marry him? She mentally chided herself, of course she was, she loved him, spent years pinning after him it would be foolish not to... Right ?
"Right. "She spoke out loud, cutting through the silence of the night.
"Talking to yourself Granger? Tsk, tsk. You were never one that struck me as this much as a loon." A drawling voice came from behind her making her jump.
Hermione turned, "What are you doing here Malfoy?"
Hips face was just barely illuminated by the faint moon light. There was something strange in his dark eyes, a mix of determination and... Hunger? Her question caused him to chuckle and smirk, his teeth, unbelievably white, glinted.
Suddenly, he was no longer in front of her. Hermione's breath hitched in her chest, where did he go? He was standing only a few paces in front of her only a moment ago, there was no way he had disapparated.
"Well, well. Worried are we?" He whispered in her ear. The sound sent chills down her back.
"What are you doing her Malfoy?" She recited, not able to keep the tremors out of her voice. She cursed herself for leaving her wand on Ron's bed side table. How carless could she be?
"Are you scared Hermione?" He asked quietly, his hands grabbed hold of her hips gently but firmly.
Her breathing became more ragged, he was too close. The heady scent of his cologne filled her nose, her head became foggy.
"Yes." she breathed so softly that under any other circumstances he shouldn't have been able to hear it.
His lips moved to her neck, kissing softly, "As you should." he mumbled.
