Hey everyone! Thanks for sticking around this long for this story! I have very busy juggling life as a divorced single mom with two kiddos! It's certainly worth it though. The struggle has been real but thankfully I had such an amazing support system that was behind me the whole way. An extreme shout out to my parents who took me and my kids in for eight months while my divorce was done and then getting into my own place where it's just the kids and I. Now naturally like most grown-ups have to do, I do possess a job, a full time one that pays very nice. I love my job nearly as much as Jess does with Stu and honestly some of my later stuff will incorporate the guys I work with. I mean I work with eight guys in a tire shop; all with different mannerisms, backgrounds, and naturally different ages which makes for interesting conversation during our down time. AND like our Jess I fell in love with a man much older than me….. Anyway, I bet you are ready for the story updates!
Yes I am re-writing The One Night from the beginning. Just minor spelling and original story plot holes I wanted to fix and also the naming of Jason was a long one for the open world record. Also I want to ask you the readers what you think we should have next or what I should put in as a challenge for the coming chapters. I remember writing the 9-11 piece several months back (gosh nearly over two years ago now or so) but since getting my job and single parenthood, I lost who I was as a writer. Recently in fact I felt a calling to my local Barnes and Nobles Bookstore which I had not felt in a very love time. It was magical; truly magical. Because of that I am working again on this story again (there is another Harry Potter one which is the alternative ending of my original story of The Outlaw's Princess, should you be into that series also that I am attempted to pick up again!).
I wish you all well and as always, MICKEYKITY is back!

Everything about Doug was worth her time, whether it be sitting at home watching the latest Disney movie or chasing after him in the backyard. Spending time with Doug, her older brother, was always the best of times. He was funny and honest, truthfully caring in more than one way, and most importantly the very reason for her ambition. It seemed like such a long time ago that Jessica Billings, the young girl of light brown hair and sparkling blue eyes, with a wide smile was born. As Doug first laid eyes upon her, it was odd how his life was suddenly about her. His baby sister was over thirteen years younger than him. As she grew up a bit, she would always wear a frown when Doug would attend summer camp. On the drop off mornings, she would shake beside her mother's legs and called out his name through the crowd of teenagers surrounding them. It was here that Jessica also first laid eyes upon Phil Wenneck.
For the longest time, Phil began spending lots of time at the Billings home where the two boys played games and laughed about the girls they hoped to see in their first years of college. During Phil's senior year, he stayed at the Billings home nearly the entire year. Even during Christmas break Phil stayed and this brought happiness to Jessica where she proclaimed her love for him. Everyone just laughed because she was so young and didn't understand the true meaning of love. Quite frequently she took to the habit of pulling his brown hair when she would sit on his lap whist watching Doug play sports. Little Jessica even would plant sweet kisses on his cheek but she knew no better. All Phil ever did was smile at her with the widest grin in the world. On the evening of Doug's high school graduation, the small girl sat on Phil's lap during the ceremony and her voice was heard loudest.
"Philly! Look he got one!" she screamed while pulling onto the nineteen year's arm. She watched peacefully seeing the most important person smile brightly. Over what she had no idea but it was amazing to see Doug looking so grown up in the black gown. In the years following Doug's first years at college, Little Jessica knew there was a change in the air about her brother. He began bringing a college friend home during any holiday but she always made it a point to ensure she was still his number one. No matter anything else, Little Jessica needed to know that. This new friend was named Stuart Price or Stu for short. The two had been roommates at the New York school they attended but what excited her more about Stu was how amazed he was at her teeth. When she began to lose her baby teeth, she made her mother call Stu so she could tell him. But everything changed when her mother died. For years Jessica believed that her death was partly her fault. Maybe if Jessica had been a better daughter… maybe just maybe she would still have her mother. Maybe if….
Doug, Stu, and 10 year old Jessica moved to LA in 2001 following the chaos of the events that year but she never forgot the fear of that day. In the years that passed, she grew into a young woman of a petite figure, long brown locks, and deep blue eyes rivaling that of others and drew others into her gaze. Having taken the shortened nickname of Jess at fourteen, she was determined to pay Doug back for all he had done for her. She had moved a lot during the early years before finally residing with her brother but her heart always held a place for him no matter the distance.
Doug had enrolled her at the school that Phil taught and there it seemed that nothing would change at least until he began seeing Tracy. At the same time Jess began high school and was the object of many of the male population's affection. Phil gave Doug updates on her whenever he could, but it seemed that Jess could not escape the attention, even when she didn't want it. Many would comment on how her hair would perfectly sway with the way she walked or how girls were envious of how Hollywood Star it looked. To Jess though, the only noise heard was from Carol as they chatted aimlessly about the day's events during lunch period. She maintained her grades and was granted much more freedoms than others.
Today, however, Jess and Carol were in heated discussion about the just announced Prom King and Queen nominations. Jess walked alongside her friend as the other pulled at her hair. The two followed a strict policy that girls wore their uniforms rightly on their body and had to have their hair in ponytails or buns. Carol at every chance removed hers to flaunt her well-developed woman figure while Jess just simply removed the bobby pins from her head and loosened the navy blue tie from her neck.
"You're not actually trying to get that stupid title?" asked Jess, stuffing her tie in her backpack and still somewhat skeptical about the whole idea of Prom Royalty. "It seems so silly!"
"JESS!" screaked Carol grabbing her arm causing nearby students to jump. "It's not some silly contest. It will determine if I am accepted into a sorority!" Carol had been her best friend since she moved to LA. The two were in appearance complete opposites, but were always seen together since. The girl's sparkling green eyes resembling that of an emerald stared into Jess' deep blue eyes with determination.
"You can join any you want!" she urged her dear friend but the words fell onto deaf ears. Shaking her head once more at the idea of it all, Carol began a long speech about the possible ones she might join should the right conditions come up. Simply nodding at the right times, Jess paid no attention to the actual words she spoke which happened more often than not. It was something about Carol that Jess had figured out early on. Finally reaching Carol's locker to retrieve her volleyball equipment, Jess heard she began referring to her brother's coming wedding.
"— and besides you get Mr. Wenneck to yourself in Vegas—" mumbled Carol slamming the locker shut.
"Are you kidding me? It's not a personal vacation with Phil! Carol, are you serious!"
Carol instantly gave a remorseful look of shame. "So what do you think will happen in Vegas?" her friend asked before turning sharply. "You know what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas…."
"Well yeah … which means anything I do will follow that rule too! It's just one night anyway. They're going to go out and party and I have to stay in the hotel room," she answered honestly as they continued down the length of the hallway toward the outer stairs. Just short of the first step, Carol ran in front of her with a finger to her face.
"WHAT! You are letting him party without you! You are old enough to gamble!"
Jess immediately felt her eyes roll at the idea. "No, I'm not old enough to gamble. Besides I asked if I could go with them. I really don't wanna be with Tracy and be bored out of my mind with her stupid shit. "
"You can NOT just sit back and watch our most favorite, and sexiest teacher of all time, drink his way in Sin City!?" she shuttered out in a hysterical voice making Jess take several steps back.
"Mr. Wenneck is our teacher and my brother's best friend," replied Jess grabbing her backpack which has fallen off her shoulder. "Carol… it is not that way. I just don't want to be alone this weekend at the house. Avery keeps asking me out and I have lots of homework to do. Included Phil's class assignment."
"Well maybe you gave Avery a chance…" snapped off the blonde without a moment's pause.
Jess narrowed her eyes into slits and let out a small groan. "Avery is the ultimate tool…."
"Avery knows how to use his hands," smirked Carol turning away out the door. "And his tongue too!"
"CAROL!" she shouted realizing what all Carol meant by the last statement. The other girl just smiled and shrugged her shoulders in defeat but knowing full well what her weight her words carried.
"Well how do you think I got him to do my paper…." she said with a smirk.
"You whore," Jess smirked and pulled her sunglasses down to her eyes. The long drive to Las Vegas that afternoon was sure to be lengthy one. "Like why would I ever want his anything near me…. I already have to forget mine and Phil's relationship is awkward …"
After several passing minutes with silent determination in both girls, and passing a short boy with brown mossy hair, they stood in front of a light blue-gray Mercedes-Benz. Carol let out a low whisper and admired the car with passion running her fingers along the frame.
"Sweet car," she called to Doug who sat in the driver seat. "You get to ride in this?" she asked to Jess.
Before answering, Jess nodded and threw her bag into the trunk. "I got to go Carol. See you Monday!"
The girls shared a close hug and Carol skipped away toward her boyfriends. Jumping into the backseat, Jess ran her finger across the leather of the seat. Damn, she thought.
"Alan this is my sister Jessica. Jess this is Alan, Tracy's brother," he said pointing to the scruffy bearded man in the passenger front seat. The man had a frown on his face of extreme discomfort.
"Did you have to park so close?" he asked keeping his eyes low without making contact with anything or anyone.
"Yeah, what's wrong?" asked Doug keeping a look out for Phil who should be appearing any minute. Jess leaned toward the two to hear the reason why but all Alan could muster was a short statement.
"I shouldn't be here," he stated without more to explain why.
"Unless you have something horrid against your record, it's fine," commented Jess placing her sunglasses over her eyes and pulling her hair into a messy bun.
"I'm not suppose to be within two hundred feet of a school," he said matter of fact.
"Great! You brought someone like him with us knowing I was coming!" Trying to reason the why of her situation of her brother's friend, she played with her phone waiting for Phil too.
"Or a Chuck-e-Cheese," Alan added a moment later. Rolling her eyes, Jess looked up in time to see and hear Phil step up to the Mercedes. The man let out a whistle and ran his hand down the well-made frame of the car.
"Shit! Nice car," he said and then quickly stepping on the leather to seat himself.
"Watch the leather!" warned Doug, but Phil cut him off by throwing his arms back behind his head nearly hitting Jess in the face.
"Shut up and drive before another one of these nerds asks me another question!" Phil's smile widened and he rubbed her cheek for good measure. "You aren't one of those nerds!"
"I'm glad," she said quietly, looking into his eyes.
Phil, stopping a moment to lean into Jess' arm, muttered one more statement, so quiet though she only just heard it "And you're mine," he said with a wide smirk. Looking back up, Phil, like Jess had done, eyed the bearded man before him.
"Who's this?" asked Phil pointing at Alan as Doug pulled out into the street.

The short distance it took to reach Stu's house was uneventful. Jess remained to her phone and tried to ignore the chatter of the others. Sometimes their conversation geared toward their upcoming events in Vegas but Jess thought more on the amount of homework she needed to complete. Within minutes, they pulled off the main highway and onto a residential street. Rounded the corner where Stu lived, the car stopped smoothly. Phil turned in his place and winked at Jess, a playful, yet mischievous smirk crossing his cheeks.
"Don't," Jess warned Phil, knowing he was about to embarrass Stu, and she began to rise herself from the seat. Just as Jess stood up fully, Phil pulled her back.
"Watch this," Phil said gathering her into his arms. Wrestling out of them, a downcast grin enveloped around Phil's cheeks and Jess shaking her head grabbing his hands.
"It's Stu's house. Be nice," she urged.
They were standing outside a beautiful home where Stu lived with his girlfriend Melissa. She was one person that many people who knew Stu wouldn't, or couldn't, get along with. Jess included. On multiple times while in her internship at Stu's clinic, Melissa would rant and rave about some of her adult endeavors but Jess played no attention to the whore during these times, but to remind herself to tell Stu later. On the rare times when she had to speak to the She-Devil, it was mostly to argue over the importance of her head game.
"Deeper the better," Jess remembered her always saying.
"She is a bitch and we all know it," firmly stated Phil bringing her attention back to the present. Jess looked into Phil's eyes and saw the gleaming hope he wanted. Resolving finally to allow him, Jess drew closer to him once more and watched as he puffed out his chest.
"Paging Dr. Faggot! Dr. Faggot!"
"Phil!" Jess said with a punch to his arm. Several minutes passed as Phil and Jess debated on Phil's words, until a clearly stumbling man walked out with a suitcase in tow. Stu walked out however with Melissa closely behind. She stood at the door flipping Phil off with great determination.
"You're welcome, now get in pussy," Phil waved Jess into the middle while Stu took the remaining seat behind the driver.

Just after crossing into Nevada, Doug stopped the car for a while to refuel and allow them to use the toilet. Jess, who had fallen asleep against Phil's chest, was shaken awake by Alan.
"I got this. You get some food," he said with a point to the convenience store. While Alan pumped, Jess went up to the door rubbing her eyes. Browsing the aisle to wait for the toilet, she felt her cheek warming as she spotted the coupons by the main counter. A small smile creeped across but she saw finally she would relieve herself. Finishing up, she pulled her long hair down and observed the girl in front of her.
Her uniform struck out from sleeping sitting up, the baby blue of her top showcasing her youth. The sweet uniform held so much history to her but she would be glad when she would be able to change in Vegas. Exiting the bathroom, she found Doug and Phil by the register paying for items.
"He's actually kinda funny," said Phil, munching on an already opened bag of chips, as she walked up.
"Yeah. He means well," commented Doug putting his items down. Jess went to grab a few items and waited patiently to pay. As the guys started it dawned her they were referring to Alan.
"Is he all there? Like mentally?" asked Phil.
"Yeah. I think so. He's just an odd guy. He's kinda weird," Doug answered with a sigh. Jess saw Doug motion to set her items down. Her muffin, soda, and a magazine to read lay on top of the snacks Doug was buying. Jess threw down a five-dollar bill to help pay but side-stepped Phil before the man spoke up hurriedly.
"Like should we be worried?" Phil asked quickly placing another bag of chips down with Jess'.
"No. But Tracy did mention we shouldn't let him gamble or drink too much," warned Doug.
"Jesus! He's like a gremlin. Comes with instructions and shit," Phil sighed looking at Jess. "You didn't, did you?"
Jess shook her head as Stu came from behind. "And one water."
"All good with Melissa?" asked Phil quietly.
"Oh yeah. Told her we were two hours outside wine country, and she bought it!" exclaimed Stu happily.
"You didn't mention me right? Because she will have shit-fest when she learns another woman is with you!" said Jess, placing her hand on her hip. Stu shook his head.
"Don't you think it's strange that you've been a relationship for three year and you still have to lie that you're going to Vegas," Phil said leaning on the counter. "With a fine beautiful teenager at that?" he added pointing at Jess and avoiding Doug's glares of his comments of her.
"Yes I do, but it's not worth the fight," admitted Stu with a shrug.
"Oh, so you can't go to Vegas but she can fuck a bellhop on a Carnival cruise line?" Phil inquired like he always did when Stu went behind Melissa's back on anything.
"Hey guys," Doug asked, his eyes pointing at Jess, who only laughed at Phil's question.
"Did she get seasick?" she asked quietly.
"Jessica!"
"What Doug?!"
"Okay first of all," Stu began, "He was a bartender and she was wasted. And if you must know, he didn't even cum inside her." Jess turned and had to conceal her laugh as Phil asked if Stu believed that. "Ah, yeah I do believe that because she is grossed out by semen."
"Oh my God," Jess exclaimed walking to the door. "I'll be in the car."
Phil and Doug looked shocked about Stu's declaration, but the woman calmed spoke the amount needed. "That'll be thirty-two fifty."
Gathering their items up and firmly saying thanks, they walked back to the car to find Alan shooing off a pair of boys who was trying to talk to Jess. She seems a little shocked but the young men were getting close.
"Back off pretty boy! She's under aged!" screamed Alan, taking a heroic stance in front of Jess. She turned around to find Doug and through her arms up.
"Fat fuck! Like hell he is bangin' that ass," one commented as he bumping to Doug. "Yo, sorry brah."
"Yeah whatever," Doug said walking quicker. It bothered him how pretty his sister was and how obvious she was growing into a beautiful woman.
"Back the fuck up bud!" yelled Phil as one of the young men bumped into him. The boy seemed to realize that Phil's attire matched like Jess' and he ran off toward his buddies. Before long, Jess' eyes began to drool and she leaned fully on Phil's chest once more.
"How is she taking a nap?" asked Stu as Jess stuck one leg over another and tried to get comfortable within the small back seat.
"She has her ways," Doug said eyeing toward Jess and Phil. "What you got there Alan?"
"It says here, we should work in teams," he said showing the book he had been reading. "Who wants to be my spotter?"
Parts of their conversation were heard by Jess, but she tried to rest her head on Phil's shoulder for that nap she so desperately wanted to finish from earlier.
"Quit digging your head into my shoulder," he whispered patting her arm.
"I'm sorry but after my math test today, I really want to rest. Mrs. Watson was a real bitch today. Giving us like hundred problems in like an hour to solve. I thought Doug would have gotten a bigger car for the five of us," she said looking into his clear blue eyes. "I just want you," she whispered against his ear
"She is pretty mean sometimes," he agreed. He flashed a smile at her and caressed her arm a few moments. The others had a deep conversation about counting cards that brought Phil and Jess out of their moment.
"It's also illegal," commented Stu to something Alan said a moment ago.
"It's not illegal. It's frowned upon. Like masturbating on airplane."
"I'm pretty sure that's illegal too," Phil added in.
"Yeah maybe after 9-11 where everyone got so sensitive. Thanks a lot bin Laden."
"Alan, Mr. Wencock teaches English not history. He wouldn't know that!" Jess said hoping that she wouldn't get slapped for her words.
"Jessica Marie!" yelled Doug. "What did I tell you about calling Phil that?" Phil seemed amused by her words while Stu was just shocked.
"To not, but it's not like my friends don't! Okay, Carol made me swear if I had sex with him to text her!"
Phil let out a laugh while Stu and Alan just gasped at the two siblings.
"Oh, God you're friends—" Phil started up, but his words were quieted by Doug's outcry. Jess merrily sat still and waited for this to continue. "Really?" he muttered in her ear.
"Why would you want to do that?" Doug demanded gripping the steering wheel tighter.
"Carol and Alyssa are always saying Mr. Wenneck this, Mr. Wencock that. Oh I would love for him to blah blah blah. Okay, I hear it all the time. I'm not stupid. He's my teacher and your best friend!"
After a moment, Doug turned to Alan after a long sigh. "Either way you have to be super smart to count cards buddy. It's not easy."
"How about we tell that to Rain Man because he practically bankrupted a casino and he was a re-tard!"
"What?" asked Stu.
"He was a re-tard," Alan spoke again.
"He's a re-tard," mumbled Jess into Phil's ear. Phil smirked and placed his finger over his lips.
"Retard," Doug said to correct Alan.
