Fine

When Josuke woke up from the hospital he soon found himself overwhelmed by all the attentions everybody in the room was giving him.

There was his mom that almost killed him by how tightly she was hugging him, but he understood and he tried to return the hug as best as he could. She must've been so preoccupied.

Koichi held his hand and he was in the verge of tears.

- I'm so glad you're fine -, he said, - I didn't know what I'd do if you… if you… -.

- Koichi -, Josuke said, - I'm here, I'm fine. It's over -.

Koichi smiled.

- Yes, I guess it is -.

Even Rohan was there. He congratulated him for not dying and Josuke thanked him.

He wasn't fazed though. He knew that that time it was just an exception; they were never going to get along.

Jotaro didn't say much but he seemed relieved.

When he told Josuke how glad he was that he made it, the way his hand tightened around his shoulder suggested that he wasn't the first time that he'd risked to lose someone, or that maybe he'd lost someone already.

Josuke didn't say anything though. He just smiled and told him that he was all right, and to send his regards to his old man.

As soon as he felt better he was going to visit him.

That left Okuyasu.

At first Josuke was so busy with the others that he almost forgot about him, but as soon as he saw him leaning on the wall all by himself, he couldn't help but to call him.

- Okuyasu! -.

The boy's gaze jolted up immediately, looking at Josuke.

He seemed surprised, but his expression immediately changed to preoccupied.

- Josuke! -, he called, rushing towards him, - Josuke! -.

He held his shoulders, then he cupped his face.

- Oh… don't cry… -, he murmured then. He was so close to doing the same.

- I'm not crying -, Josuke said, clearly crying.

Okuyasu was there. He was alive.

It hadn't been a dream.

- I'm sorry -, he cried then, - I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry -.

- Josuke… -, Okuyasu murmured, and he'd started crying too, - Don't be -.

They kissed.

They didn't even care about the other people who were in there. They just wanted to be close.

They had both feared for each other's life but now they were all right – more or less.

That was all that mattered.

Disclaimer: before Americans start to nag me about it, yes, I use hyphens for dialogues and quotation marks for thoughts. Why? Because this is how we do in Italy, the country I'm from (actually there's more freedom in Italy but this is how people usually write).

Am I going to change this one day? Absolutely not. This is how I'm used to write and I don't want to change it. If I have to go through hundreds and hundreds of fanfictions where I see quotation marks used for dialogues – something I'm not used to at all – I'm sure you can all go through one story where the style is different without having to point it out every, single, time. Thank you.
