Brendan is a original character. Most other characters are from Eastenders or Left Behind.
(btw: a reference to 2 other British soaps I made briefly here in this 1st chapter)
Ian Beale is on a flight heading from Chicago to to London from with a private investigator friend from Ian's past trying to look into why Lucy Beale died.
Ian was desperate and with so much in his life going on badly, seeing his old school chum Brendan Tennant might help, especially considering Brendan is considered a pro to get answers.
So good a pro, Brendan took his expertise to the states considering there wasn't much of a investigative challenge for him in Walford.
Even investigating stuff for a while in the British towns Weatherfield & Hollyoaks bored Brendan.
But considering he and Ian were old friends, Brendan wanted to go back home and help. Plus, Brendan was a bit homesick and this gave him a excuse to go back to Walford.
But soon, Lucy's death would be the least of Ian or anyone in Walford's problems.
