AUTHOR'S NOTE AND DISCLAIMER: Okay so these chapters and season 9 were my favorit to do. There was more for me to include the character in and more to work with. One quick thing when reading: In this story you're going to see chapters that look like this: Ch 10.5 (they have decimals in them) you can skip over these if you want. They arent crucial to the plot they're just little episodes that i liked and wanted to re-do. Thanks for reading! I own nothing but my character.

Prologue: Purgatory

"Wake up." Castiel yelled at Dean looking around wildly as he recognized truly where they were and how screwed that made them, "We need to get out of here." He cast an anxious look down at Gianna, who was laying face down in the dirt unmoving, thinking she could possible be their only help out of this- Dean's only hope out of this

As Cass surveyed her closer he noticed something extremely off. She wasn't a Guardian anymore. She didn't have that aura around her. She was human now somehow, but her aura was still brighter than your average humans. It was a chosen aura. How is it coming back to Purgatory changed her destiny? How is it even possible she's human now? Even with all the questions running through his mind about her species status right now he was going to have to hope she could still help Dean as he knew if they all stayed together they wouldn't last long.

Cas motioned to her body, "Is she breathing?"

Deans head was pounding. His vision was blurry and his ears rang painfully. The place they were thrust into was dark and foggy so he couldn't see anything. Remembering how badly beaten Gianna looked and hearing Cas Dean crawled painfully over to her. Turning her gently he surveyed her body. She was alive. Battered but alive. At least she's breathing. He repeated it to himself over and over thanking whomever he could for that.

"She is." Dean turned his attention back to Cas, "Where are we?"

"You don't know?"

Dean narrowed his eyes, "Last I remember, we ganked Dick." He looked down at Gianna again swallowing hard at remembering how it felt when he thought he heard that Son of a Bitch snap her neck

Yeah to say the least he wasn't expecting to have that big of a reaction. It's become apparent to him that he's fallen painfully in love with this girl and that always spelled out trouble for a Winchester.

"And where would he go in death?" Cass ripped him from his thoughts, "Where would she go when the Leviathan are killed?"

"Wait, are you telling me…"

"Every soul here is a monster. This is where they come to prey upon each other for all eternity." Cass's eyes flicked to Giannas unmoving body, "Where she's supposed to prey upon them."

Dean swallowed looking around at the forest, "We're in purgatory?"

"I'm afraid so." Cass motioned to Gianna, "She's human now. Somehow when we were sent back in it happened."

"What?" Dean scoffed, "Human? How?"

"I dont know." Cass looked around anxiously, "Some sick joke the cosmos are playing, im guessing."

"How do we get out?" Dean cast an anxious glance back to Gianna and remembered her fear of going back- Dean, i think i'd rather die than go back. It haunts my nightmares. Its filled with the bodies and souls of all things hungry, sharp and nasty. And my job is to get knees deep. I don't think i can do it after being gone for so long. After being around humanity i dont want to let my guardian take over- her words and tears rang through his head at the revelation. This time she was human? Which meant she was going to be an easier target.

"I'm afraid we're much more likely to be ripped to shreds."

Ferocious growling and hissing came from deep within the forest. Not as deep as would be comforting. The sounds were way too close for comfort.

Dean reached down and pulled Gianna in his arms,"Cass, I think we better go." He was met with silence then turned to see no one there, "Cass?" More growling and hissing alerted him that he better start moving, "Shit."

Extreme pain and gut wrenching fear were the first things to hit Gianna when she came too. Her head felt like it was used as a soccer ball and that all too familiar knot was buried deep within her stomach yet again. Her neck was so stiff and tense it was painful to move but the deep rooted all too familar fear made her push it out of her mind. That, in of itself, told her exactly where she was.

Immediately she jolted upright to get her bearings and examine exactly where she was. That was a bad idea. Splitting pain raced through her brain, neck and shoulders and she groaned.

"Relax." A familiar gruff voice scolded before she felt a hand on her shoulder

She turned to see Dean's pain filled eyes and confusion overtook her, "Dean? What… why are you here?"

"Apparently that stick had some kick back no one knew about." He looked down

Gia huffed, "I figured that when he started bending the realms as he died." She shook her head, "I tried to get you out of the way."

Dean eyed her, "It's not your fault. Cass is too but he- uh decided to take off."

"Take off? And leave you here?" She took a deep breath and looked around at the all too familiar terrain

"Looks like it."

Taking a deep breath she looked him in the eyes, "Cass is an angel. His grace would make every monster in here pinpoint exactly where we were. He probably left to protect you."

Before either of them could say another word he crushed her into his chest, squeezing like he'd never done before. She hugged him back tightly, ignoring the screaming from her body, "Hey. I'm okay, Dean. I'm alive."

Dean leaned back and searched her face, "Yeah. Barely. I thought he snapped your neck."

"He didn't. But he always manages to get close to it. Im more than a little rusty when it comes to kicking their ass i guess." She grimaced at a cut she had on her thigh that was bleeding away from the first Leviathan fight she had. Come to think of it her body really felt like shit, and usually, at least in Purgatory, she'd be healed almost instantly. She didn't feel like she was healing at all at the moment.

Dean noticed her surveying her body and eyed her as well, "Cass said you were turned human somehow when we were sucked in."

Gia scoffed and hung her head, "Unbelievable. The powers that be just can't stand not to throw our asses directly in the fire."

"No shit. Now you know why i think im cursed." Dean agreed, "Any idea on how we get the hell out of dodge?"

"There's no getting out Dean. If there were I would've figured it out millennia ago." Then Gianna took a bigger look at him and the huge target both their humanities placed on their backs now, "This place isn't meant for things to leave. It's meant to keep the things inside it forever. And these things can see our humanity shining bright from miles away." Painfully she got up and leaned on a nearby tree, "When i was put here the Guardian is what we use to mask our humanities and souls. Thats why my line is so violent. Humans aren't meant to be here. And now that i'm Human both of us are going to be hunted. Big time. I can't believe this happened."

"Well it happened."

"How?"

"I dont know. I dont have any answers. You know as much as i do."

"Yeah. Which is less than nothing." She huffed shaking her head, "Oh man, we're so screwed if we're here when the next Guardian gets chosen. Fresh ones arent really too keen on hearing why they shouldnt kill you."

Dean ground out, "We need to figure something out. I know Sam's going to be trying from his end. So we need to be doing something on this one."

An epiphany popped into Gianna's head, "Humans aren't meant to be here." She repeated smiling, "Maybe that means this place has a loophole for if they do. God has a way of working those things out." she motioned to herself, "Guess im an example."

"What do you mean?"

"I've never had a human here before- that I've seen, but I'm assuming this place would make like a rip or an emergency exit of some sort to get them back if they inadvertently ended up here in the first place." She sighed, "I guess I should say we and put myself in that category now."

Dean rushed over to her and put his arms around her waist to help her walk, "Then we'll find it. And we'll use it to get back home."

"Sounds like a damn good plan." Gianna gruffed, "You think me being human means i get to go back with you?"

"I don't care. I'm not leaving you behind either way. That's not what I do." Deans fixated gaze swept ahead of them, "We'll figure it out. Right now we need to find Cass."

"Right." She rolled her eyes, "Let's find the Angel responsible for everything who abandoned you in the middle of Purgatory."

Deans jaw clenched, "He's not in his right mind."

She quieted at the pain in his eyes. The pain from permanently losing Bobby, losing Sam, being abandoned by his best friend in purgatory and decided to drop the argument for now. Fighting wasn't going to help either of them and right about now, giant white hot Grace or not, she could really use some Angel healing.
