Blossom punched him and an epic fight was about to ensue. Mojo sent robot after robot to fight the girls until they were worn out, He aimed at Bubbles and fired the death ray. Buttercup woke up and saw her sister about to be blasted.
Buttercup:BUBBS, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
(KABOOM)
Mojo:I've done it! Now I must leave.
With Mojo gone, Blossom and Bubbles were left with their dying sister.
Bubbles:Buttercup!
Blossom:Hang on, we're gonna get help.
Buttercup:Sorry guys but I'm done for...Thank you for everything...You have given me a wonderful life...and...I love you and I always will...
Buttercup glanced at Bubbles, she was the last thing she wanted to see before she died.
Several people who witnessed the battle ran up to the girls, including Jaylyn from the Derbytantes.

When the Professor found out, he dropped to his knees and bawled his eyes out. Bubbles took the death the hardest and wasn't joyful anymore. when Blossom went to school, she saw the Derbytantes and went over to talk with them.
Maylyn:You've got to be joking, YOU'VE GOT TO BE! BUTTLYN CAN'T BE-!
Blossom:Hey...
Maylyn:What do you want?!
Blossom:Maylyn, I'm sorry for what happened to Butter- Buttlyn...
Maylyn:SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP!
Maylyn ran away in tears leaving the others.
Bobbysuzeraelyn:Wait!
Jaylyn:I know she would find out eventually and I don't want to keep secrets and-and...I know she loved her...
Blossom:Of course.
Jaylyn:No...she...LOVED her...

Everyone left Blossom as she went after Maylyn. She eventually found her at an empty classroom that hasn't been used for years because when the teacher of the room died, they couldn't find a replacement so they abandoned it.

Blossom:Ms Krabapple's room is the most isolated place I could think of.
Maylyn:I'm sorry...for your uh...l-loss...

Maylyn:Yeah...uh...I'm not in to boys..I mean I like them...but-

Blossom patted Maylyn on the back and comforted her before they left the classroom. Before the funeral, The Fasionistas attacked a clothing store trying to steal some dresses. Barbarus defeated the girls and all hope seemed lost until Barbarus floated three feet off the ground and was launched at Bianca, Bianca crashed by a window and saw the reflection of Buttercup.
Bianca:G-g-g-ghost!
Bianca was the only one who could see the dead Powerpuff Girl and fainted. Everyone thought Bianca was crazy but she was always crazy so they just assumed she was hallucinating. The funeral was grim and gloomy as every single citizen of Townsville attended, Even Miss Bellum who went to visit after hearing about Buttercup's death.
Everyone was there except Bubbles who stayed at Ms Krabapple's old classroom. Blossom, the Derbytantes, Barry and Jared found her in the room and went in before being stopped by Maylyn.
Maylyn:Let me...
Maylyn went right over to Bubbles and sat next to her.
Maylyn:Sup?
Bubbles:Oh, Hey...
Maylyn:Is this about Buttlyn?
Bubbles:Why did she die?...I'm gonna be alone for the rest of my life!
Maylyn:That's not true, you have your other friends and they have you.
Bubbles:Thanks...
Everyone smiled and walked up to them.
Jaylyn:I am gonna miss Buttlyn...
Jared:Us too...I feel sorry for Bubbles and Blossom...
Maylyn leaned closed to Bubbles and they both shared a kiss. many citizens paid their respect, even criminals:The Gangreen Gang sprayed Buttercup's name all over Townsville, The Mayor made a monument in her honour and a buttercup garden, Morbucks asked the Blossom to let her replace Buttercup but Blossom refused and Utonium kept trying to make a Powerpuff Girl to replace her but no one can truly replace the dead Puff. Several nights after the funeral, Bubbles had a dream that Buttercup was alive like nothing happened but she woke up. Depressed, she went up to Buttercup's side of the bed and fell asleep and unknown to her, Buttercup's spirit watched everything with Grim.
Grim:...Are you ready?
Buttercup:Yes...
Grim:Good, because I promised Mandy I would be her date to the dance.
They both faded away before Bubbles woke up, sensing something.
Bubbles:...Buttercup?...
