This is a Zolo one shot I thought up while reading some Shakespeare. It's funny how I come up with some of my stories.
Disclaimer: I do not own anything you recognize.
"Are you ready to start Rachelle?" Zolo asked me.
"Yes, I am." I said rather nervously.
About a week ago I had asked Zolo to teach me the santoryu sword style that he was so skilled at. Finally yesterday he informed me that he would teach me. I really did want to learn, but I also wanted to get closer to my new crew mate. Roronoa Zolo was so mysterious and I had to admit that I had a crush on him. He hasn't talked to me much in the past few months I've been a member of the Straw Hat pirate crew. I wanted that to change.
"Now I want you to listen to me the first time, because I am not going to repeat myself." Zolo said.
"Excuse me?" I asked. I had not heard what he had said to me.
He rolled his eyes "This is going to be harder than I thought." he said in a quiet voice "Rachelle, if you want to learn, you will have to listen! I do not repeat myself!"
"Sorry." I said.
"Don't apologize, correct the behavior." he replied. "Now pick up your swords."
I did as I was told. I found it difficult to hold all three at once.
"Put one in each hand and then put one in your mouth like I do." he instructed.
Once I was finished doing that, Zolo continued on "The trick to this is patience and dedication. You may not get it at first, but as time goes on, you will get better. As long as you don't give up."
"I don't plan on giving up." I told him. I was determined to show him that I was capable of anything.
"That's one of the reasons why I agreed to train you." he said giving me as smirk "I know that you would rather die than give up."
"What are the other reasons you agreed to train me?" I asked.
"You'll find out sooner than later." he smirked.
I decided to leave it at that. I didn't want to push him farther than I could handle.
Zolo showed me a few moves and had me replicate them. I found that I was able to do it with ease. My instructor seemed rather surprised as well.
"You're better than I thought you would be." he said "You seem to have a talent for it."
"Thank you." I said.
"We are going to have a battle." he said.
"But what do you-" I began.
"I wasn't finished Rachelle." he said "As I was saying, I want to battle you. All my force against all of yours. I want a real feel for how good you are."
I decided not to back down. I did not want Zolo to see my weaknesses. I gave it my all, but he was no match for me. Zolo had ten times the amount of power I had. It would be impossible to beat him. Finally, after putting up a good fight, Zolo had me backed against the wall with his sword pointing at my throat.
"Not bad for a beginner." he said "Just remember Rachelle, practice makes perfect. You deserve a reward."
Zolo then dropped his swords and leaned in towards me, his towering frame covering my body. He put his hands on the back of my neck and pressed his lips against mine. He used his tongue to coax my mouth open, which I had no problem doing. We went on until the sun set and we could barely see each other.
He then pulled away and wiped his mouth with his hand "We'll practice again tomorrow Rachelle. Same time."
He walked away leaving me wanting more. I liked the reward he gave me and wanted more. I picked up my swords and went inside. I wanted to make Zolo happy, but more importantly, I wanted his lips on mine again.
