"I've always had faith in you." It was a statement as simple as that.

Shiemi stared at him, "You did?"
It felt strange to find the man that she'd fallen in love with, staring at her, and admitting to such feelings when she was in her suit, knowing who she was behind the mask.

"I did." Rin smiled at her.

"You were his son, and by default, my enemy." Her words were not ones that were intended to harm yet they easily fell out and became that way.

"I know. I fell in love with you anyway outside of all that without even knowing that I'd fallen for the heroine that the town so admires." Rin stumbled over his words as he stared up at his girlfriend.

The reveal had only happened due to her managing to get his father arrested for his crimes and for her unmasking him; his son had easily revealed himself to the woman that he loved regardless of what all that could mean for them.

Rin felt that she'd had to know and that she should know that against all odds, they'd fallen in love.

"I love you too, but what about your father?" Shiemi, despite everything, felt guilt creep in as if she'd badly harmed the one that she loved more than anything.

"I wanted to be different from him, and he'd done some things that he shouldn't have." Rin muttered, staring up at the woman that he loved more than anything, who'd had his father arrested.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have my boyfriend's father be arrested." Shiemi spoke up, tears appearing in her eyes.

"It's fine. I knew that it would happen one day." Rin reached out tentatively to hold her close and try to comfort his girlfriend.

"But he's your father." Shiemi muttered, still feeling those traitorous tears drip down her face.

"And he's a villain." Rin told her, having long since adjusted to such a fact and accepting the change; he'd never really been close to his father regardless as he was rather close to his mother's best friend, a man that probably doubled as a superhero, but was definitely a Catholic Priest.

"He's your father." Shiemi spoke up, repeating the phrase almost helplessly.

"He never really spent time with us, my brother and I. He was more into his evil work than raising the family that he had." Rin spoke up as if it were some small claim of justification for his own feelings in regards to this moment.

"But-" Shiemi began before she cut herself off when Rin tugged her closer against him, and she heard his heartbeat that always managed to soothe her, away from her fears.

"Yukio and I spent more time around Father Fujimoto anyway. He was more of a father than the man that you just defeated." Rin spoke up, softly; his only real thought right now was to soothe Shiemi's fears and remind her that regardless of anything, crime still had to be dealt with.

She stared at the man that she loved and let his comforting words rush over her and calm her down.

"It's really fine?" Shiemi asked rather nervously.

"Yes, it's fine. Every bad guy needs to serve his time at some point regardless of whose father he is." Rin smiled.

Shiemi returned it a little bit nervously though she leaned against her boyfriend and focused on how much calmer she became, surrounded by his scent and the warm and steady rise and fall of his chest.

His heartbeat was its own kind of medicine.

She smiled as she just focused on the good that she'd caused in the world today and not on the fact that she'd just jailed her future father-in-law.
