A/N A good fanfiction writer (Who isn't on FFN) once said that to disturb your audience, you need to disturb yourself. Write out of your comfort zone, and do something no-one in their right mind would ever think of. This story will have some disturbing themes, so please be careful about them. I'll post a warning at the start of every chapter so you know if there's something in there you don't want to read. This prologue is just a setup. And yes, This is dark story. If you can't stand this first few chapters, don't read this rest. Simple as.

With a dull Clang Liara was sprawled on Sovereign's floor. Everything ached. She had been interrogated about the Protheans, and soon after found herself looking down a gun-barrel.

"Any... last words? Confessions? Information? It could save you." Saren bargained. Liara remained silent.

"Your choice. I'll let you meet your goddess now."

"Please, Saren. Anything but death. She deserves better..." Benezia quickly pleaded, indoctrination momentarily broken. Liara did deserve better.

Saren weighed his options. Loosing Benezia would be a big blow. Maybe too big...

"Fine." Saren spat. "Omega. She can't say anything if she's there. No-one will believe her rambles."

The look on Benezia's face turned to pure horror, afraid for her daughter.

"Afterlife, to be precise. Aria likes gifts, maybe it will sway her..." Saren continued, a hint of... cruelty in his voice.

"No. Anywhere but there! Anywhere!" Benezia pleaded once more, as if to sway him. But it was too late.

"It's Omega, or she joins your fucking goddess! Choose!" Raged Saren, loosing control of his temper. Even with indoctrination, he was still prone to losing it.

"O-Omega... she d-deserves better..." The matriarch chose, broken it had come down to this...

Saren's laughter filled the chambers. "Good. I might visit her... see how much of a whore she is..."

Benezia, with a shriek of rage., flared her biotics and prepared to end him, but in her rage Saren backhanded her, sending her reeling to the floor

"Do not try to do that again. Next time, I won't be so nice, and Liara will be next."

Benezia's look of disbelief soon fell into dispare, and she began sobbing on the ground. Saren turned his attention to Liara's form, now huddled in a corner, not quite believing what she had heard.

Omega? Afterlife? But that's... Oh no. Oh please, Goddess no! Not that place!

A cruel grin lit up on Saren's face, and then all Liara saw was blackness.

A/N: It's going to get worse. Trust me. It's going to disturb me lots. This chapter wasn't close to it.
