A birthday fic for my absolutely fantabulous friend!

Ron wakes up early to wish Hermione a happy birthday before she leaves for work. Takes place sometime after Rose and Hugo were born.

I don't own Harry Potter

Just before the sun began to rise, Hermione slipped out of bed and began the morning ritual of trying to find everything she needed in the dark, while avoiding bumping into things and waking her sleeping family members. Once she was dressed, she carefully left the bedroom, stopping in the kitchen to grab her briefcase (which she had laid out the night before, as usual) and make some tea.

With an absent minded flick of her wand, Hermione brought the water in her cup to the proper temperature and dropped the tea bag in. She gulped it down, glancing nervously at the clock on the wall (it only took a second or two to apparate to work, but she still liked to leave at least five minutes early), and was about to leave when two arms wrapped themselves around her waist.

"Let me go." She said, although she was settling back onto her husbands shoulder with a contented smile "You're going to make me late."

"You have plenty of time." said Ron. "Besides, today's a really special day. I can't just let you go to work without mentioning it."

"What are you talking about?" Ron gently turned her around so she was facing him and said with ridiculous bravado "You don't remember?" Hermione rolled her eyes "It's four thirty in the morning and I worked until one last night. I barely remember my own name, let alone what day it is."

"It's only the most important day ever!" Ron said, throwing up his arms excitedly. Hermione laughed "Alright it's the most important day ever, which is...?" Ron pulled her in close and kissed her softly. He smiled into the kiss and whispered "Happy Birthday."
