A race against time

Secretly Hermione opened her book. She looked at the pages but she could not focus. 'Why?' she thought… 'How could he do this to me?' She reached into her bag and took out Crookshanks, 'Miaow miaow miaow' said Crookshanks. 'I don't understand that' said Hermione.

In the deep dark room, Harry lied unconscious. He woke up and looked around. 'How did…?' The last thing he remembered was death eaters everywhere. All around him. 'They must have put me here'. The dark mark was dark and that meant Voldermort was coming. 'Oh no!' thought Harry.

'I hate spiders!' screamed Ron to Cormick Mclaggen as they ran through the greenhouses. Professor Sprout had kept some big spiders in the greenhouses to eat the Venemouse tentacular because they were getting too much but now they were hungry! 'Aaaa!' we need to get out of here quick before it's too late!'

'Snivellus you were always useless. I never should have trusted you, especially after what you did in the Shrieking shack when the dementors were looking for me when I escaped Azkaban' 'I will not be talked to like that by a murderer! You have no idea what is going on! 'Buckbeak! Get here qui….NOOOOO!' Buckbeal was filled with wounds and fell all the way from the tower to the ground. He's dead.

Draco sat in the classroom and was pleased with what he and Crabbe and Goyle did. Their victim was soon going to wake up and the dark lord will come and finish this off.

'Never! Never!' screamed Mrs. Gonnagle. 'You shall not pass over my dead body!'' 'Avada kedavra' hissed Mrs. Gonnagle and the death eater died at her feet/

Harry found four scraps of paper in his pocket, he must have torn up some important document. 'But what could it say?' he thought. He started trying to piece together the parchment bits, but he knew he didn't have much time. 'Come on! Maybe this could be a clue to get me out of here!'

Cormick and Ron kept running. Faster and faster through the forrest till they were surrounded by spiders. 'Oh no!' said Ron. 'Don't worry!' said Cormick 'Remember I do quiddich? I have my broom. Hop on! We must hurry or we'll be too late!'

Hermione had to struggle to stay awake. 'Someone gave me some sleeping potion!' she realized. She forced herself to finish what she was writing. Then she grabbed the desk and got up. Desperately trying to find the strength to walk, she moved towards Room 111. The Weasly twins were worried. 'Is she ok?' said one 'I dunno! But let's work on our fireworks' said the other.

Finally Ron and Cormick made it to the building. Room 111 is all they could think about. They ran up the stairs in the entrance hall, took shortcuts behind a portrait of a man feeding a carrot to his donkey but the donkey doesn't like carrots! Rushing fast up stairs, pushing people out of the way… The clock in the great hall said 'Hello!'

After 20 minutes Harry managed to solve the puzzle. It showed something shocking. 'Oh no! he thought and he grabbed the portkey and got into Hogwarts. I only have 3 minutes to go before its all too late!

Stumbling over books, stairs and collapsing several times on the way, Hermione finally made it down to the first floor. She knew it was now or never. She could only pray that the others were on their way.

Draco sat laughing. 'I can't wait to see their faces!' 'I can't wait to see their faces too!' said Goyle.

The doors of room 111 slammed open and in came Harry, Ron, Hermione and Cedric.

'You thought you'd make us late for Transfiguration so we'd lose Griffindors house points Draco!' said Hermione. 'How did you..?' Draco didn't finish his sentence.

Mrs. Gonnagle came in just as he cast avada kadavra on Hermione but she jumped out of the way. '10 points from Slitherin for that Malfoy!' and they all laughed.
