Just something that popped into my head after watching (okay, re-watching) 'Vital Signs' (Thanks for the catch by anon, I was watching Home Invasion for another story, got confused). No plot, just Peter pouting.

"What's Elizabeth laughing at?"

"No idea. Talk to you later."

Peter shut his phone and stuffed it into his pocket, and taking the stairs two at a time, followed El up them.

"What's so funny?" he asked leaning against the door frame.

Elizabeth looked back at him, choking back another round of laughter.

"Nothing honey" she turned towards the washing machine trying, but not succeeding, at stifling a laugh.

"There is nothing funny…" she broke, her shoulders starting to shake.

"What?" Peter looked at her with a mixture of hurt and surprise "You don't think I can flirt? I can flirt." His bottom lip pouted out.

"Sure you can honey." Her eyes danced with merriment.

"Well I could. I flirted with you."

Another peal of laughter broke from her lips. She stepped towards him placing her hands flat on his chest.

"And you did a wonderful job. You got me."

He relaxed a little as her hands moved upwards, entwining behind his neck.

"Yeah, I did get you. So, I couldn't have been that bad."

She kissed him lightly on the chin.

"You were terrific." Her lips twitched up at the corners.

He leaned back slightly, an eyebrow raised. "What?"

She released her grasp and stepped back, eyes becoming moist from the strain of not laughing.

"I just can't see you flirting in this century. I can't believe you actually said "you look thirsty". That is priceless. Oh honey."

She kissed him on the check, patted his chest, and headed for the stairs, the sound of giggling trailing after her.

Peter frowned "I could flirt." He called after her retreating form, then more to himself "I could so flirt."
