Weep Not For Wings

Weep not for the mighty wings of eagles,
surpassing the mountaintops as they fly,
trapped within their narrow, airy castle.
They cannot cross the threshold of the sky.

Long not for the wings of the great falcons,
gracefully soaring so high and so far.
Only the wind itself may they outrun.
They cannot pass the frontier of the stars.

Wish not for the wings of the birds above.
Can they reach any higher than your dreams?
Would the rim of the sky be high enough?
What wings can aim beyond this mortal scene?

No bird can rise above these earthly rings.
You have no limits when your heart has wings.
