(DISCLAIMER: I do not own Artemis Fowl, only Zila and Groch.)

PROLOUGE:

Zila sat by the lake, legs dangling in the water, mulling over the deal 5 years ago.

That bargain had gone completely wrong from the start.

He knew that the LEP kept the file in a secure vault, thanks to the info it gave away.

He also knew that they had called it the HL7 incident.

He knew everything about it, except how to get to it.

Ever since that deal had gone wrong, he'd had a recurring nightmare.

A nightmare, of that fateful gunshot.

Zila was not a murderer, but ever since he'd had that dream, he wanted to kill Groch.

This place by the lake was Zila's favorite spot, where he often came to think about how to retake that information, the HL7 incident.

The only good thing that came out of that deal was that the LEP had captured Groch.

Zila shivered, he always did when he thought of that mans name.

That man was a monster, in all crimes you can imagine.

Smuggling, burglary, torture, armed robbery, were just some of the crimes he had under his belt.

The worst crime he was held for was serial murder, 5 years ago, when the deal, which nearly caused worlds to collide, carnage and domination was struck.

He hated that man, because,

the day that he had made the deal, Groch killed his father.

As he closed his eyes, the memory came flashing back to him.

He sighed, and pulled out a palmtop, which automatically connected him to Zilan, his underworld company.

Calling up orders sector, which allowed him to give orders by speaking into a mic, he said " Commence moonlit haze."

He half smiled. Groch was not going to enjoy this.

Meanwhile, Fowl Manor:

Artemis sat up in bed, thinking he heard a spectral voice in his head say, "moonlit… haze…" He scolded himself.

Telepathy did not exist.

He settled down to sleep again, but at that moment, a vivid image jumped into his mind.

He saw a wood, a pool with a being, sitting near it.

The being seemed to move. It came closer, closer, closer…

Until it pulled out a gun and fired twice.

He shivered. He did not like the look of this.
