One arm wrapped round terrified kid, kid's squirmy puppy in the other. Kid's doing good, Keeping jacket up over his head, big enough, long enough, completely hides him and pup. Clutching both hard to chest, head down...Run! Pup fighting to escape...Don't, I ain't stoppin'.

Hand kid and pup to sobbing mother. Sirens, finally! Can't wait, back inside, choking, coughing, eyes streaming, take direction Sam headed, the father's den.

Follow brother's voice, sounds of him thudding against door.
"Jake? Jake?...Dean, he's not answerin'!"
